At first look, these seem like really nice apartments. Ofcourse they show you the upgraded models and then explain those cost $100-200 more per month. The lied to use when we first signed our lease, so we were tricked into the second one. There are roaches, that they only care about if you disturb them enough with frequent complaints. Our dishwasher was broken and missing parts the day we got the keys, and is still broken and missing parts. The management here is severely lacking, they have no customer service. The grounds and maintance staff are very friendly and helpful, if they are aloud to fix things, like appliances.
It's gotten better. Pest Control comes when you ask, and the pests aren't terrible. The maintenance crew are great about getting things done, and are a great bunch of guys. With the new protocol of acceptance (0 felonies within the past 100 years, decent credit, and must be able to afford rent and then some) the crime rate is very low. However. The front office is a mess. If something is done wrong, or isn't done at all, it can usually be pinpointed there, since the people who work there seem to disappear after three months, and a worker from some agency appears who doesn't know what to do beyond answer a phone. Steve, the General Manager, is awesome, but when he's not around, the whole system goes up in a flub. Not to mention that Jupiter Communities is a corporation of some sort, being in a few other states (they're based in Illinois, so if you want to talk to someone in HQ, good luck), so it's run that way. The most common complaint I hear about from other tenants is how long it takes for major repairs or replacement of dishwasher, dryer, refrigerator, ect. Noise control after dark is a problem. Mostly because the buildings are old, and not soundproofed, so you can hear outside of the apartment almost as well as if the walls weren't there. Front office says to dial 311, 311 tells you to talk to the manager. Fun little circle that is. If you're forced to live in this neighborhood, I recommend Emerald Bay. Sahara Gardens and the other place (the complexes next to this one) are scary, and the rent is decent. Oh, and if you have pets, it's a $200 fee PLUS a $25 a month petrent.
It is September 4th rent is due and the front office has been closed since 2:30pm til now and there gonna be closed tommorow due labor day there doing a poor job and its time for replacements .
