My boyfriend and I moved in a few months ago. We absolutely love it. Yes, nothing will be perfect. You will find minor things here and there but for $745 a month for a 1 bed 1 bath, isn't bad. The carpet was perfect, loved how the walls are a beige and not white, crown molding makes its look super nice, the light fixtures in living room and dining room are very beautiful. We had so much fun decorating our place and we look forward to coming home to it every single day. We have had ZERO issues with cockroaches or any other creature, haha! Fingers crossed! Oh and the location is ideal! Love everything there is to do and all the delicious places to get take out from! But that's okay, because there's a gym in the complex! (:
We moved here from Ohio so we didn't really know the area or what all there was out there when we first signed our lease.. We have been here since January 2013 and have NEVER left! =) We had signed our first and second lease with the old company, The Place at Summerlin. It was during the second lease that we had learned of the new company taking over and to be honest we were quite excited to see what changes would be made. And these new people have changed ALOT! This place was great to begin with in my opinion, you get so much for your money. We all know real estate is all about location and here we have access to every part of town, within minutes! And now with the new management, the amenities just keeping getting better. Inside and out they have delivered reasonable upgrades.. After almost three years I still wake up feeling like I'm on vacation, and it's because this place is THAT awesome!! #KeepUpTheGoodWork!
The best thing about living here is the location. The rent increased over $250 dollars in 3 years and the only upgrades have been the faux granite counters, which scratch from the touch of a feather, cabinet doors for the kitchen which barely have room for groceries let alone kitchen supplies like dishes and glasses. The oven is miniature size and burns everything not to mention the dangling seals on both the oven and fridge. When management was asked about replacing the appliances it was stated that would not be done for current residents. Luxury apartments is not a description for these units. Perhaps a cheap makeover for the ugly stepsister would be a better way to say it. They allow residents to use lanais as storage and garbage dumps and nothing is done to clean it up. It is embarrassing to have anyone see the view from the apartment. Windows are decorated with torn curtains and broken blinds. The area near the garbage dump looks just like one, A DUMP! Management allows left behind junk to flow over the broken fence meant to contain the stained mattresses and broken furniture. Be careful walking your dog or just walking period since there is no regulation of residential dog shit! You will find it everywhere including the sidewalk around the property.
New management company rolled in and started "upgrades" in each unit which consists of painting the counter tops, yes that's right painting, followed by changing the color of the cabinets and putting a ceiling fan in. After these upgrades were completed and our lease ran out then hit us with a $100 increase in our rent. They justify this increase with these "upgrades" that I never asked for or wanted. Now the management company is trying to pass these apartments off as luxury but they are far from it. The fluorescent light in my kitchen comes off after a dozen or so flicks of the switch and only then 1 of the 2 bulbs light until the ballast warms up. I've notified the office and supposedly they fixed it but a year later, same thing. This is just one example of the "luxury" experience here at park of murano.
Love it here... very clean and upscale. Recommend the Park at Murano to anyone!
