At first glance, Las Kivas appears to be a well maintained, beautiful complex, but it's not until you live here that you see the surmounting issues. The stucco is falling off, chunks at a time. The drains are nonfunctional, water spills over directly into your windows, and all over you belongings. Plus, if it rains a lot, you might just loose your stairwell, large pieces of construction just falling off to the point that you're fearful of using the stairs. Things are never fixed correctly or timely. They may not even be fixed at all. Forget about having guests, the tenants can't even find parking. There is reserved parking for a hefty price or like I've been told "you can park outside of the gates off the street." Right, because I rented an apartment in a gated community so I can park outside the gate. Talk about ignorance. Watch your step, snow and ice are never cleared timely so slips and falls are very common. The beautiful grass is really a dog park at your doorstep and the stench of urine and feces are your morning and afternoon greeting. Plus, you pay to water all that grass too. The pool is as cold as ice and is never clean so forget about going for a peaceful swim. Last, but not least, the office staff pretend to like you, until there's an issue, and then you can find three-day notices at your door for ridiculous reasons. All they do is gossip about their tenants while they take break, after break to smoke. Seriously, unless you like really expensive headaches, don't live here.
For the price there are far more superior choices. I leave in a month and can't stand this place. One it's not meant for the regular consumer, but for the military guys only. You got parties, people parking in your paid parking, VERY loud upstairs neighbors with two massive pitbulls, ants everywhere, junk for garage doors, multiple police situations and more! I was told this is a quite club, well it isn't.
