I have been a resident of Fountain View for 2.5 years. The location is unbeatable. The amenities are top notch. When I first moved in, there were normal maintenance issues that needed to be addressed. After contact with the office my issues were fixed in a timely manner. The complex has gone through it's fare share of staff but, I have to say that in the last year things have really improved. Management is making a lot of updates to the place. While it can be bothersome, I am not complaining as improvements are good. The new staffs communication skills are an improvement from when I first moved in. Give the new staff a chance, you won't regret it. Trust my experience, improvements are underway.
Great place. Moved in to a corporate apartment here with my company. I was really suprised at how nice the place was. I did read reviews and was a little hesitant at first. Ladies in the office have been outstanding. Once my lease is up in the temporary apartment I plan on moving to a bigger apartment with my roommate. The amenities are great, the old man below me is rude but other than that all my neighbors seem cool. I would recommend to a friend. Who wouldn't want to live here! Thanks Fountain View. Bryan P.
I've lived in several different locations within the KC area and I have had an overall positive experience at Fountain View. The location is wonderful. The gym is large with a huge varierty of equipment. The pool is gorgrous and well maintained by the staff. Any time I've had any kind of maintenance issue, it has been resolved in a timely manner and I have been kept updated on its status. The staff is always very helpful and friendly. I feel like they genuinely care about their residents and want to make everyone happy. I have referred several of my friends to Fountain View, all of whom have had similar experiences as I have. No apartment complex is perfect, but I do feel that the effort of the management and maintenance staff is above and beyond any other complex I've lived in.
Tiffany the Manager is great and very helpful
Location is great. Everything else is not. Ridiculously priced for how terrible this place is. They're blindly signing a bunch of idiotic college kids into the apartments here as well. I can currently hear them yelling from their top level apartment. The Kansas City Health Department closed the pool down for a string of days this summer, not to mention people who defecated in the pool overnight. Cockroach problems which are not resolved despite every roach motel in human existence and multiple requests for spraying that never work. There was a water leak in the apartment above us that leaked into ours. It took multiple calls to the office across a span of weeks for them to repair the damage in the ceiling. Parking is not included and is expensive: 60-100 dollars for a spot depending on location. They have just started some ridiculous trash pick up service that more or less influences people to leave their leaking garbage bags in the hallway.. Which is carpeted might I add. Appliances are plain, white, antiquated pieces of junk. Carpets are dirty. Cabinets are not well maintained or constructed. Young professionals.. Yes.. You guys working in the IT profession.. You know who you are.. Run the other way. Live in the countless amount of lofts available or other newer, well managed areas. Don't let this place cool you. Oh. Once your contract runs out, if you want to live month to month, forget it unless you want to pay a ridiculous amount. Other places around here charge a fraction of your rent.. E.g 5-7% more a month. Not this place. There are newer places in the northlands which cater much better to new signers and you "young professionals". You'll thank me later. - ALSO they have just started to "restore" both of their garages.. which I'll admit, in theory, sounds great.. however, They have only offered reimbursement for the month of August and offered to shuttle residents to and from the UMKC parking garage.. do they expect to do this at all times of day? How do they expect us to get in and out of our apartments with simple belongings? The "projected timeframe" is around two months from the beginning of August. Another poor logistics move by Fountainview IMO.. so now, if you want to be 100% unable to move in to your apartment for the next two months and left high and dry if you need to move any large necessities in or out.. please choose this place. Not to mention the construction vehicles who are blocking you in to your spots when you attempt to leave for work. As far as your direct contact request, I appreciate it.. however.. that prompt responsiveness would have been much more appreciated during all of the times I attempted to politely contact your office with patience and understanding with no decency to attend to my needs.
