We have flying ants in our kitchen and were sprayed last week. They came back this Tuesday morning (the ONLY day they spray) and I went into the leasing office and asked if they could spray because the ant problem at significantly worsened. They said they would see what they could do, but that if he was too busy then I would have to wait a week. (BTW, the lease says they have 5 days to fix the problem from when we complain...) The ants have spread to our living room carpet and we have a newborn with health problems. They told us we had to wait and they "tried everything they could do" and we would have to get ant spray and they WOULD NOT reimburse us, even though they are the ones who are not keeping our place up to code. This place is TERRIBLE. We moved from California, and had I known, I would never have gotten a lease here. Thank Goodness its up sooner than later. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE! DO NOT!
Worse place EVER! RUN FAR AWAY! We have Ants everywhere and they wont do anything! We were sprayed a week ago and they came back a week later worse then before! My wife called Tuesday Morning (the day they spray) and they said well try but he is slammed. They didn't come spray...Wednesday the ants were worse then before. Leasing office basically said were out of luck. If it wasn't for Curtis their temp I would have handled it a lot worse. Today they spread into our Living Room. WE have an infant and living with the SHi&. We tried calling the manager in charge of them are still waiting for a call back because they said we could go on our own and get ant spray if we dont want to wait till Tuesday. NEVER LIVE HERE! They have terrible customer service outside of Curtis and DONT CARE ABOUT YOUR LIVING SITUATION! SCREW YOU HIGHLINE VILLAGE!
Loud all the time, apparently they rent to anyone here. Including my neighbors who consult with lots of friends very late at night on their front porch. Screeches of children 24/7 that sound as if they're being beaten? The police are here every other day to haul off some trashy domestic scenario. Staff does nothing about complaints or even general maintenance. We moved in to no air conditioning in mid summer, when we requested it repaired we were treated like garbage and lied to, was told rudely by an angry rotund woman(Victoria) that they had tried to contact me, I must have given them the wrong number? Don't trust the hens in the office a bit. After that I have had a number of maintenance people meander into my apartment with me sitting here needing to do things that equal they are in the "wrong unit"?? Malice or stupidity? Staff aside, I'm writing this review to an 8am soundtrack of people who seem to be having a social gathering of sorts? Nobody sees a need to use their actual porch for anything, it's apparently appropriate to smoke in hall and talk loudly with your teenage friends all hours of the day and night. Yelling and slamming 24/7, circus music coming though the walls, master bed smells like whatever my neighbor cooks due to the layout placing their kitchen next to closet and in my face. Nightly coming home to nowhere to park due to the fact that lupita felt the need to park her Hyundai sideways, although she technically needs another parking pass to occupy both spots staff will do nothing. All of this mentioned, this place has a nearly $1200 a month price tag. It's worth in my opinion $750. Garlic and b.o. scented apartment with stagnant pond view, leaking skylight(yes the roof leaks) parking pass that places you a block from your door, neighbors who are VERY social at all hours, and a dangerously uncontrollable raccoon population? If your an irresponsible couple with an overly emotional child and a taste for a quality loud argument, get down to highline village and fill out an app! Update: contacted corporate about their ILLEGAL inability perform snow removal as well as their snarky office staff. The office manager basically called and asked what my problem was, fed me pleasantries(she has been directly condescending and short with me herself) and assured these things would be handled and if I have issues I should really be contacting her. Try to go above their head, it's sent straight back to them. Guess I'll shut my mouth and wait for my lease to end. Oh and the persons review directly below me, obviously coerced or fake. It popped up just after my last edit of this review.
I've lived here 18 months, and it's gone from decent to bad to terrible. It took them 5 months and the legal action of a city inspection to repair a gaping hole in the eave above my window, one that was trailing insulation and allowing squirrels and critters into my roof-space, despite photo documentation and numerous complaints. (At one point, I was told the critters were all in my head.) It took 4 months and the city inspection to fix the shocks and re-balance the drum of my screeching, thumping washing machine. It took 7 tries over too many months to calk my bath-tub correctly and install splash-guards to keep the imbalanced tub from flooding the floor every time I shower. Each maintenance visit has resulted in the apartment being left trashed: this morning I discovered screws left in the carpet by the window... by stepping on them! There is NO sound-proofing between the units, as evinced by the fact that my floor is pounding in time to the renovations being carried out downstairs, while before it pounded with my neighbor's frequent use of a sub-woofer/bass. Maintenance is overworked and understaffed, so the waiting list for repairs are a mile long and take months (unless there's a city inspection, and then things get done much more quickly)! Critters from the canal frequently get into the overflowing dumpsters and trash the parking lot, but maintenance is too busy to clean it up. And yet prices just keep going up! Before the city inspectors stepped in, I was actually told that if I wanted a washing machine that didn't screech and thump, I'd have to pay extra on my rent every month to get a new one installed. Communication failures are abundant between maintenance staff, office staff, and residents -- the right hand has no clue what the left hand do-eth -- or, most often, *doesn't* do-eth. If you're going to pay this much for rent, go somewhere else. Con-Am (the owning corporation) seems an appropriate name: what a CON! The office staff range from rude to very friendly, but even the nicest ones are ineffective in fixing the multitude of problems I've encountered here. I can't wait until my lease is up and I can get the heck out of here!
lived here two years my complex is very quiet all my neighbors are very respectful. moving out because it will be cheaper to live In a house by this point . the staff has always been very polite I'm always given courtesy notice when they enter my apartment at least two days prior they also leave a note letting me know what was done.
