Definitely the worst apartment I've ever had the misfortune of living in. Where to start? We were initially deceived by our leasing agent Meaghan (no longer employed by ConAm by the way) about what unit we were getting. She said it was a remodeled unit, which to her apparently meant just new carpet. Nothing looked like the photos online. Old smelly cabinets, cheap hardware and fixtures everywhere. Five of the slats on the blinds were broken. Both showers in the unit try to simultaneously scald and freeze you - temp is never consistent. It looked like they got a 7 year old to paint the cabinets, sloppy work just in the painting alone, not to mention drips of paint everywhere in the bathroom and the pitiful alcove they call a kitchen. Crappy basic appliances that barely work (our unit didn't come with a microwave - WTF??). ConAm also didnt mention the unit was occupied before we moved in by a horde of COCKROACHES! We tried valiantly to remove them with no help from management. When my girlfriend called the office and told them we found a COCKROACH, the manager Rose basically said "Oh, okay". What a joke. The washer and dryer are barely adequate, make sure you've got time to dry your clothes three or more times. The water bill is split with your entire building too - get ready to pay $70-80 month JUST FOR WATER. And that's not even mentioning the ghetto people living there. One of my neighbors decided they wanted to shoot their brand new BB gun around, denting my $800 stainless grill, and breaking the glass on the fire extinguisher. Garbage is constantly strewn about the place and rarely picked up. There's a family of raccoons that lives in the gully and sewer nearby that feed on the uncovered dumpsters. Don't be too attached to that paint job on your car, either, dings will appear mysteriously. The parking situation is abyssmal, and nobody has any regard for other tenants - parking in two spots or over the lines is the norm. Look both ways walking through the lot, as most people drive their rusted out '94 Honda Civics about 30-35 through the lot. Unsupervised kids throwing rocks around and screaming is the norm. Strage how I hear dogs barking too, when the property doesn't allow pets. One morning my girlfriend was home alone on her day off, and she walks into the kitchen to find a maintenance person standing in the entry, didn't knock, call or announce himself. Who knows how many times these uneducated criminals had been in our place? Had to call the cops three times on domestic violence situations. Crappy soundproofing in the units, you can almost hear your neighbors' turds splashing in their toilets. I was warned about Aurora and "the one seven" (zip code). They were right - spend the extra $200 a month and stay away from this s--thole.
Well if you accept dogs and cats in the near future I would give you a better rating. If you accept someone who already has her own washer. Would not hurt. If you are near the trail or a park...I have a big dog . So my second dog is a meduim dog.
It's pretty terrible. Ghetto people everywhere, kids screaming in the pool at midnight or later. Washer and dryer is mini sized and takes 3 dry cycles to work. Someone slashed 3 of my tires and keyed my car. Ants all over the place no matter what you do. 1200 a month for 850 square feet is a ripoff. All the outlets are the cheapest you could ever possibly get. My ahirdryer wont even stay plugged in.
Horrible place to live!!! They took 3 weeks to fix the kitchen light so we had to cook in the dark!!! The washer and dryer is extremely small your better off doing laundry at a laundry mat! Everything you touch falls apart !! The swimming pool was disgusting filled with bugs and dirt!! The people in the office just sign people for commission after that they don't help you with anything at all!! Don't move here save yourself the trouble and look else where !!!
Wow this apartment deserves no stars. I'm going to tell you everything about these apartments and it's all true. First off their are so many roaches and you CANT get rid of them. Second of all you have to be super careful in the shower because the head pops off and last year, it burnt my arm and I got a 2nd degree burn. They didn't even bother to fix it. It popped off at me again so now I'm mad. They have poor customer service and don't let the pictures full you because the carpet is pee color, the walls are stained, the scent of marijuana comes through your vents and fills your home, and don't get me started on their washers and dryers and their dishwashers. The dishwashers are so bad that you're better off hand washing them. They also break super easily. So do the washer and dryers. And guess what? Some apartments don't even have a washer or dryers and does this apartment complex offer a laundromat? Nope. So please, if you're planning on moving here, remember this, you're better off living in a hotel on Colfax.
