Lived here from 2/2013 to 6/2015 and never had problems with neighbors or crime even though we are in Rosemont. Moved to get kids in better schools. Week after I move I get a bill for damages some for things we know to be true(carpet, paint) and others like cabinets/countertops that were just painted white over counters. I disagreed with some charges and was told "I will check with manager and get back with you." Now I call 3 weeks later to find out my revised bill and was told I was sent to collections. WTH? Be careful people they will stab you in back as soon as you walk out the door.
The new management is trying to make a lot of changes to the property, but not all of them appear to be working. The new office hours of 9:00-5:30 are the most inconvenient I can imagine. I never had any issues when the old management opened at 8:00am, I will never understand why they changed this. I should also mention that they have morning meetings which can go to 9:15 or even 9:30. Whenever I show up at 9:00am I have to literally knock on the door to get them to open during their "alleged" 9:00am opening time. I shouldn't feel like I'm intruding whenever I step into my leasing office. Don't be fooled though, they are there, just knock hard enough and they open the door. The leasing staff are always nice to me, it's the senior management that works behind the scenes and is never seen that I have a problem with. The children's play area and dog park are great amenities that I see used very often, but the trash I walk past in the parking lot every morning is disgusting. The staff does a great job at cleaning it up, but every Sunday (when they are off) is a disaster. Some of the people who live here just drop their trash on the ground outside of their car. The people who live here are nice though, the slobs just make it difficult. They have introduced parking permits in an effort to crack down on parking violations, which is nice, but there's only a small handful of guest parking spaces. This desperately needs to be expanded, as it only leaves like 2 guest spaces per building. There is also a second entrance to this guest parking area which is closed for God knows why. They opened this for a few weeks while they were repaving, which were a Godsend but they just closed it up again. The "Old" part of the property has two access points, only the New Buildings have one entrance/exit. Why? Pest control is also a joke. Under the previous management, pest control was every other month. Now it's by request only. So, unless you, and ALL your neighbors ASK for pest control, you WILL have pests. Sorry, but anti-roach packets placed strategically around my house don't cut it. I've hired my own pest professionals who come quarterly, and unless you feel comfortable doing this yourself, you should too. The new management has also lost the key to my apartment twice. Sure, they found it, but when I ask for my HVAC to be serviced because it's blowing hot air, I would prefer my in-house licensed HVAC technicians to know how to find a key on a pegboard.
when I first moved here I was in love with the place they pressure wash every 3 months pest control they you can park anywhere. The last couple of months been horrible you have to get a parking sticker now if you lose it you have to pay 50 dollars (anywhere else it 10 dollars).there's been pee human or animal don't matter its pee lot of it on the Conner wall of the stairs and there's also what looks like rotten spaghetti there's been signs on the wall to stop peeing not from the property manager they don't care but from residents but the pee still there and the bugs still there.my husband have wrote the office multiple of letters regarding this and nothing has been done the smell the nasty stuff still there going on 4 months now.my family came over lets just say they will never come again. Rent go up every year and u pay on the 3th you still get a late fee of 100 dollars, this people forget we live in the ghetto but charge you like you live on colonial.im supper sad everyone I know has moved away for the same reason.
The staff is exceptional, so I don't know why some are the residents are so bitter. The neighborhood is looking up since it looks like they have been cleaning house. This can be a great community if the some of the residents weren't so disgusting and irresponsible with their homes. It can be a great affordable place for anyone the staff is always there to try to help you in any way they can.
I've been a resident here since 2011. It's not the best, but it wasn't the worst. Not until now. Since I've been here they've switched management 3 times. I've called the office over and over about the same issues for over a year and NOTHING has been done about it. There's mold that grows uncontrollably in my bathroom, the kitchen counter is completely rotten and needs to be replaced (there are bugs now coming out of the rotten wood, my guess is that it's termites). Garbage everywhere outside, tons of bugs and spider webs in stairwells and breezeway. The staff is unorganized, unprofessional, and inconsiderate of resident maintenance issues. The manager that they currently have is by far THE WORST. I'm thoroughly disappointed and I would most certainly recommend that people looking for a new home move ANYWHERE but here.
