The leasing staff and management are always nice to me. The lack of notice for things that can result in fines is unsettling though. I would prefer 48 hours to the 24 hours notice that they currently provide. The children's play area and dog park are great amenities that I see used very often, but the trash I walk past in the parking lot every morning is disgusting. The staff does a great job at cleaning it up, but every Sunday (when they are off) is a disaster. Some of the people who live here just drop their trash on the ground outside of their car. The people who live here are nice though, the slobs just make it difficult. A welcomed change was the introduced of parking permits. This has helped reduce the litter, but there is still a lot of room for improvement. There's only a small handful of guest parking spaces though. They are in the process of expanding this as the need arises, but it is still inconvenient. A better distribution of guest parking near each apartment would have been appreciated. The new office hours of 9:00-5:30 are the most inconvenient I can imagine. They seem pretty lenient though, and will often open the door if they are there early. If they changed this and found a way to prevent people from littering, my review would be 5 stars.
The absolute worst! Rotten countertops, mold, bed bugs coming through the walls, constant power outages, terrible plumbing... My sinks toilets and tubs were ALWAYS backed up, management changed 3 different times in the 4 years that i lived there. My car was broken into. Not enough parking. Maintenance men are thieves... The list goes on. Rosemary lies about adding your maintenance issues to the list. Its filthy outside etc. Don't apply and don't move in. Stay far from here!!
I've been a resident of Village Lakes Since 2009, would like to just write a quick review to let people know that this place has changed so much, the new management is so great, they are doing upgrades, the property is looking better than before and even better neighbors, I love the mixture of people and the staff is just inviting, in and out the office. Maintenance takes care of all my service orders so quickly. Im up for renewal again and I just enjoy that have not have any issues. Thank you Janet, Rosmery and Aracelis for being so nice and welcoming everytime I go into the office for anything.
Lived here since 2010, I have to just mention that the property has upgraded a lot just in management and even better residents. Adding amenities with a helpful and professional staff in the office. I'm renewing for yet another year and Maintenance responds quickly to any issues I have with the unit. Janneth is a very understanding/helpful manager.
Lived here from 2/2013 to 6/2015 and never had problems with neighbors or crime even though we are in Rosemont. Moved to get kids in better schools. Week after I move I get a bill for damages some for things we know to be true(carpet,paint) and others like cabinets/countertops that were just painted white over counters. I disagreed with some charges and was told "I will check with manager and get back with you." Now I call 3 weeks later to find out my revised bill and was told I was sent to collections. WTH? Be careful people they will stab you in back as soon as you walk out the door.
