My friends live here so I am reviewing based off of a visitor. I enjoy visiting my friends here during the day. They live in the Graham apartment and like it a lot. The entrance is very nice and the common spaces are well maintained. Fire pits and BBQ sets are outside. They live in a one bedroom and have plenty of space. The facility is also pet friendly. I do not like that they only have 10 visitor passes for the whole building. It doesn't make any senseYou will need a visitor pass f you stay after midnight, then they start towing. Also they give one pass per room. So if you have a few friends visiting and some need to spend the night you can only have one car have a pass.
I like Southern Tower Apartments. They have great amenities as well as a great event room. I had a event the 1st weekend of September 2015 and everything was wonderful. The managment was very accoaccomindating to me as well as my guest. We had no problems with parking and the room was beautiful and clean. Thank you to Mrs. Mathews and the management staff at the Ashlawn building for such a great experience. I'll see you all again in the near future.
You have to wait 2 days to get your broken toilet fix. They don't really care about you here! Their new apartments ( The Grahm) looks good and luxury. But I would suggest that they have to train their apartment managers and staff or they have to fire them. Or they have to train (the residents how to fix broken toilet haha 😡). The only reason I'm living here is the location and of cours their price$$! You get what you paying for!! Still waiting on the maintenance guy to come in and fix the toilet.......
I will admit, I have never lived here. I have friends that did. It was like a little taste of Dante's Inferno crossed with a Kafka novel. Even though I lived not far from here in a roach motel, Southern Towers was in another sphere of pain. It has a reputation among locals, and the fact that most of the tenants are not from the neighborhood says something about the place. Draw your own conclusions. I'm sure there's something redeeming about the place.
I live at Southern Towers right now, but don't have the money to move in another apartment yet. As that being said, when I do have my money together, we will move as fast as possible. All the bad reviews you read on here are true. The cold water at least 3-4 times a week, the air-conditioner/heater leaking constantly, which collects mold and is starting to rot away the wood floor, because all they do is snake it when i ask them to fix it and them knowing that it's a constant thing and it needs to be replaced, shower head in bathroom leeks constantly, even after they've came to replace it, lights blow out a lot (4 times) and fuses in the past two years, very dry in the apartment, hence no central air, there are roaches here as well, in some apartments more and others less, depending on which tenant cleans their apartment enough, it also smells from time to time, because there's not enough air flow in the apartments other peoples cooking and smells flow right in your apartment, electricity in the building constantly going off, they constantly shut off the water flow and we're unable to cook sometimes as well as 90% of the appliances/things in the apartment break or crap out after a couple weeks. If your looking for a cheap apartment, Southern Towers is one of the cheapest in the area, but also the worst.... This review will help everyone and is very truthful. I've talked to other residents that live in my building (The Sherwood Bldg.) and have a friend in the Monticello and Stanford as well and things are the same there too. So if you're looking for a cheap apartment building, don't rent out an apartment here, unless you want to be unhappy. My best bet to you is when your going to look at apartments after your appointment is to check the apartment very good and also when your leaving speak to 1 of the residents alone and ask him/her about the building/housing. Good luck
