After reading the posted review, I cannot fully agree more. Everything about this apartment complex is awful, and the maintenance staff definitely does not fix anything when reported. After having to deal with the management team at the leasing office, I am amazed at the show they put on when you first come here, then display their true colors after you sign that lease. It is sad, but quite entertaining when you actually start a list about all the reasons you cannot stand living at South Coast Landings. We all know it was a rough year for snow removal. That does not mean tenants should be out shoveling the main parking lot drive way because the apartment is unable to. Paths to the main doors are usually un-shoveled and extremely icy. I actually purchased my own ice melt for these entrances. Since when should it be the tenants’ responsibility to do this? One would think that this should be included in the $13,000 I give you a year. The “convenient” laundry rooms are actually just hallways with 2 washers and 2 dryers; which are for the entire building. Ahh yes, I love constantly and “conveniently” waiting for tenants to take the clothes out of our 2 washers and dryers. If you love stray cats and the creepy old lady that continues to feed them on a daily basis, then this is your place. If you love stepping in dog crap anywhere there is grass, or walking 10 minutes at night on pitch black paths because there are no places to park near your apartment, then again, this is your place. Well they built a dog park, which I though was awesome. This was a main reason for us moving here, we thought it was very pet friendly. Then they decided to fill it with mulch; what kind of high school dropout chooses mulch for dogs to run and play in. That is exactly what I want as a dog owner, I want to take my dog to the fenced in pool of mulch so they can get covered in mulch and mulch dust. Give that person a gold star for that great idea. So please make sure to ask actual tenants about their experiences here. I would be happy to share mine and I am sure after a few minutes you will continue to search for a much better place to call home.
Absolutely HORRIBLE. Maintenance does not fix ANYTHING. Leasing center is mindless and does not care about anything or anyone. Nobody there will do anything for you ever, even if they are supposed to. Snow removal there is a joke as they do not clear your steps or walk ways unless you make a huge fuss and even then they usually don't. They barely plow, and leave massive snow piles right in driving areas. Tenants do not pick up after any of their dogs and there's waste everywhere. Dryers barely dry your clothes and are horribly overpriced. Everything in the rooms are falling apart and you have to have maintenance come by multiples times to "fix" things that never actually end up getting fixed. People feed all the stray cats so there's always cat food everywhere that pet dogs get into. They only offer one parking spot per room. They do not enforce if people park in no parking zones. They do not fix outdoor security lights so it's pitch black at night. They really don't do, well, anything... They just sit on their ass and take your money from you. Oh, but believe me, they are the FIRST to complain about anything you do. And if they have a complaint about you, and you do not conform IMMEDIATELY, you'd think you were a terrorist or something. It looks nice on the outside, but I assure you, if you don't already live here, talk to those who do about living there first, not to the leasing center. Tenants will tell you the truth about this hell hole.
New office managers are extremely helpful and considerate
