Abberly Place have been a place of comfort since the passing of my husband. The office staff is very professional more than I can say about my coworkers. Oops ok sorry got off track. I will and have recommended the Abberly Place to everybody I know. This is the place to live if you want good office service and the maintance team is great as well. I will not stay anywhere else in Garner the Abberly Place is the best.
This place is great. Nice pool, nice location, and great service. After reading other reviews one should note that the problems listed by others can happen and do happen at most apartments or even single family homes. Abberly Place residents are luckily to have such a prompt maintenance staff. Just because you are paying rent does not mean that your life will be problem free... Also what you put into your apartment and community determines the outcome. For example, if you are loud during sleeping hours someone will obviously get fed up with that at some point... That is how it goes in most multi family dwellings... With all of that being said, I enjoy living here.
These people are awful. The apartments are ok but expensive. Also it is the most disorganized property management company I have ever seen.. We gave them 10 weeks notice paid until the end of the lease. Asked for a walkthrough at the end. They refused. Then had the entire apartment cleaned and even had rugs cleaned by a professional cleaner. Next thing they are coming after me for rent from when we left until they rented it out! Imagine? Then after refusing a walkthrough and keeping our deposit they asked for money for some minor damage to a drain. I would not ever recommend this place to anyone.
Stunning apartment homes in Garner, NC. Staff is helpful and the place is very clean. The location is what attracted us to Abberly in the first place. Close to shopping centers.
There were a number of factors that led me to hate Abberly Place. There were a few good things about it so I will just list them all off and include those as well. Good: -Location close to shopping center, theater, doctors, and restaurants. -Easy to ask for maintenance via the online form. -Gym & pool. Bad: -Their online rent pay system has repeatedly failed and caused us to have late fees. I'm not complaining because I was late, I paid on time. I have a great record of paying rent on time every place I have lived before. They did wave the fee once, but the system kept failing and they didn't wave the fees anymore. It was not my fault but I paid for it. I paid a lot for it. -Lawn care at 7AM. I get that they have a lot of yard work to do, but they could do it in the afternoon of two days instead of so early. They also would blow lawn debris into our patio so we had to clean it. -Our primary contact at the Abberly office is a moron. All the others seem nice and capable, but the person we talk to doesn't ever understand what we are telling them. I actually heard from other renters that had dealt with this person that they didn't get along with them either. -An appliance was broken when we moved in but we didn't know until months later. We told them the problem, they tried to fix it with some other solution, it's still broken. Luckily we don't have to use it. Sorry whoever moves in here. It still is messed up. -Our neighbors gave their kids a bubble bath. Our toilet overflowed with bubbles and flooded the bathroom. (I mean come on. We have to suffer this much because of who lives above us? How can the plumbing be that poor.) -Cable is mandatory. That's more money we will never get back.We don't use cable, only internet. -Depending on what building you live in; you may never get sunlight in your home. The apartments only have one window and a glass door to the patio. The patio is recessed and has solid walls on three sides so the actual "window" area of the patio is relatively small. We don't get sun in our home after 10AM so the light comes from what is reflecting off the cars. That may not bother some people but it's depressing after a while. We can't have plants. -The bedroom is hard to cool. I don't know what the cause of this is, but the bedroom is the hottest room. We can crank the AC up and as soon as the sun comes up the room gets super hot and the AC doesn't try to pump out more cold air. It's oblivious to the heat in that one room. -If your neighbors are loud and bother you, you have to deal with it. The office doesn't want to talk to them. They want you to. So if the chat with them to quiet down doesn't go well? You're f*cked. They will make more noise and you can't stop them. -People don't follow the speed limit and drive needlessly fast on these small roads. -Sometimes you can't park near your building. -Only two guest are allowed per apartment. So you can't have a party at your home. -You can't have parties or more than two guest at the community center. So if you want a birthday party for your kids, you're out of luck. Go pay money to rent a room someplace else. -It always seems like your neighbors are getting away with more than you. -Cellphone service is null inside the apartments. Go stand outside. -A lot of the sidewalks are poorly planned and flood when it rains. They don't seem to be doing anything to make this any better either. -Upon putting in notice to leave, we received a list of things we had to clean or they were going to charge us money. It wasn't a basic list. They wanted things detail cleaned. This leads me to believe they don't clean the apartments themselves after someone leaves. I don't like that idea at all. We moved into these apartments from out of state and didn't have a chance to view them before we signed a lease. If we had been here in person and seen that our apartment was very tiny and has no storage space or much in the way of closets we probably wouldn't have moved in ever. This list may seem excessive to some, but in living here for under a year, it was a lot to deal with.
