So far the place has not been that bad. If you complain about a high electric bill its because you abuse your electric. Considering its a 1400 sq ft apartment and at most we have paid $150 for electric (heating in the winter, no fireplace) that is actually pretty good. The parking spaces are always available and the complaints about the hot tub and pool are false. The pool feels cold because they keep the indoor area for the pool really warm. The hot tub has always worked and the gym is great (someone decided to steal the weights though, apparently they need to install a camera at the entrance). The Cons They do not ask permission to come into your apartment. Just give a letter saying we will be doing something in it next week, lock your pets up or be home, but they wont give you a time, even a day, and say you either need to be home or lock your pets in a cage. I talked to someone just today and she was really rude and gave me an attitude when i told her i have a dog who can be finicky around strangers and I wanted to be home when they came for that reason and I have valuables in the apartment. Parents can't take care to follow the pool rules and kids go in there with no adults horsing around dropping food, and getting equipment in the gym wet (one girl, maybe 12, was on the treadmill, soaking wet, no shoes, trying to run backwards until i told her to get off), I told management and they said to call the cops and let them handle it. For me, I would not move back here just because of the way they invade your privacy without consent what so ever. I move out next month and will update on that process.
I have lived here for almost 2 weeks now. Friendly, helpful, quiet neighbors. The only con to this apartment is the 2 BIG steps into the shower/bathtub. I was not told about these before I moved in and I informed they cannot be removed but I am in a 14 month lease so I'm learning to live with them. Many more pro's than con's!!
The worst apartments i ever live.If you lease one of these apartments you will badly struck.rent and space looks like reasonable but the electric bills(300-400) and all other utility bills are very high. And the staff and property manager is so rude, they wont answer you properly.Telling you again don't don't don't lease with them.
The maintenance and groundskeepers are terrible. Moved in 6 months ago and still can't get my fireplace to work after repeated calls to management office
We have been living at Bourbon Square for about 6 months. Although we love the lay out and the spacious apartment, we have several issues with the grounds... One is now that the snow has melted their seems to be cigarette buds EVERYWHERE it is disgusting and looks like we live in a dump! Another thing is Bourbon Square says they do NOT permit abandoned cars, well we currently have THREE abandoned cars in our parking lot, that have not moved since we moved in. It would have been more if we hadn't complained. We have a huge ugly piece of crap truck right at the entrance of our parking lot, can you say Sanford and Son?? Although the staff is very friendly, they take forever to get anything done! They do cheap fixes, only to end up back in your apartment a few weeks later! The pool is FREEZING the hot tub works maybe once every two months! We do love our apartment and take pride to make it look nice, We just wish Bourbon Square would enforce others to take care of the property and not use the ground as a ash tray... And please fix these pot holes!!!!!!!!
