I have lived here almost 20 years under four managements. This manager is the worst! My van was stolen out of the parking lot on 1-31-2016, and the Waukegan and North Chicago police located it in North Chicago On 2-1-2016, with a busted steering column, and took it to the auto pound. Salvation Army said they wanted it, but did not want to pay the towing fees, so I asked around, so the towing place can keep her, for she is not safe here. I always kept rental insurance, but it is required here, no smoking in apartments or balcony, $4 per month to send you a rent invoice, old and expensive electric heating, drafty Windows and patio doors, water, sewer, and trash is extra. You pay $25 for a laundry card, and pool, broken exercise equipment is an additional $25, and you pay for limited guests.
You guys are right! Jst called them 3mins ago And YES VERY VERY RUDE...
The reason I dislike this place is because an unpleasant experience with the leasing office. They took my driver license when showing me the models but forgot to give it back to me. I did not notice until I got home. Called them right away. I live 90 minutes away. Called several times, they never return my phone calls. The office did not take this seriously, delaying sending it back to me. They told me that they just handed the license to the mail man. I didn’t get my driver license back, had to get a duplicate. This incident reflects how things are handled by this leasing office.
1. Property Manager is very very rude, if you talk politely you will never be heard. 2. No actions on several basic complaints - proper & timely removal of snow from walk-ways, parking lots etc. | Non-residents and unauthorized parking in the resident parking lot, no checks at all. Residents are being told, we have a position open etc. etc. 3. Random and stupid policies, non-responsive, painful management. They change policies impacting the residents without any prior notice/information to the residents. 4. They will show that rents are cheap but they are not, their heating system is 40 yrs old and consumes enormous amount of electricity which means 150-200 of electricity bills, hence you end up spending more than what you will spend in a premium location. 5. Some shame-less residents stay in the wooden houses and they run and gym inside the houses, so ground floor and 1st floor and extremely noisy and there is no action whatsoever by the local management. Those planning to move in here in summer can contact me and I have several pictures and videos of their mess and a long email chain about how their management works. That will surely help you make a better decision.
These are the worst apartments I have ever lived in. Not only do you have to pay $25 for a laundry card( that comes with $0 dollars on it) you also have to pay $25 to use the pool. Also there washing machines breaks often, and so does the machine that you have to use to put money on the cards. Not too mention this summer the city put out a boil water notice and my friend and his 18 month old son got hand foot mouth from it. The apartments did not put out a notice until after the ban had been lifted. The only reason I would give this place anything close to one star reviews are the maintenance guys. Avoid this place if you can if you can't live in a cardboard box. When I spoke with the manager she was very rude about the entire situation.
