Run as far away as you can. We submitted a 60 day notice after living there for only 3 months (early termination). Our townhouse was infected with roaches, I could barely get anyone to come out and spray, when we moved in the carpet had a bad odor and it took me 2 months to get them to change it, leasing staff was negligent and uncooperative, maintenance halfway did their job when asked...I could go on and on but I am just blessed and happy to be out of there. The prices were kind of low when we first moved in, now they are painting cabinets and switching out light fixtures and trying to raise the prices.....still no where near worth it. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. If I could give 0 stars I would.
Very poor reaction time from maintenance, took three months to fix broken outlets Office manager was very unprofessional Had a mouse infestation that was not fix in a timely manner Air unit was broken for most the summer of 2015 Lots of water bugs , and spiders I would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone Former Resident
We ended up not signing here in the end, but had a bad experience with the leasing staff. They are understaffed and don't exactly have it together yet. For one, on Saturday, the busiest day, they have a single staff member there, so they close and lock the office each time they give a tour. On a weekday it's not much better; I had to wait 45 minutes to talk to someone on a Friday even with 2 leasing agents present. For our actual issue, we weren't sure if we'd end up picking the Carlyle so we specifically asked what would be refundable out of the $150 worth of app fees we gave them. We were told the $100 wasn't refundable, but the $50 was. The apartment was decent but we ended up going somewhere else. It turns out the $100 is refundable after all, but only within 3 days, and the $50 isn't refundable at all. That was pretty sneaky on their part. Online there was an italicized section describing what was refundable, but I disregarded that because I had already encountered bad info online in their application, and the person who was in front of me in line at their leasing office said they had 2 different issues with their online info so obviously I thought asking in person was the right thing to do! Be careful, get everything in writing and don't trust what you're told. I spoke to their assistant manager just asking for the $50 and she refused, even though this is the third business day anyways (they counted Sunday as the third day for the refund deadline from Friday). I asked her whether that $50 was more valuable to the company vs not getting additional negative reviews, but here we are.
I agree with the person that put up a review just last month, this place is HORRIBLE!!!! I came to view an apartment, pulled up to the visitor box after the car before me had pulled off (seemingly frustrated). At first the box system stated that all circuits were unavailable, I dialed the office a 2nd time and a woman finally answered after I said hello several times then hung up. So I called the office again this time I was greeted with 20/20 questions. I asked if I had reached the leasing office to which the woman responded yes. I then stated that I was trying to get through the gate; to which I was asked if I had an appointment. While a bit confused because I was not aware that an appointment was REQUIRED to see an apartment; I stated that I did not. Then I was asked WHAT ARE YOU HERE FOR? That's when I hit the ceiling!!!! Are you freaking kidding me??? Furious I stated are you serious? It takes all of this to see an apartment??? NEVERMIND ... Then the woman tries to explain that since I was not a resident she needed to know what I was coming to the community for. Again I say REALLY???? I thought that when a potential resident buzzes the leasing office that signifies that the person wants to get information on or view an apartment!!!! When did that change??? Where in the freaking world does a apartment community interrogate potential residents!!! Potential residents need to seriously RECONSIDER renting here especially considering that you will be treated like a freaking criminal for just wanting to view an apartment!!! NOTE TO THE CARLYLE -- YOUR APARTMENTS ARE NOT FORT KNOX!!! GET OVER YOURSELVES!!!
If I were able to give 0 stars I would. The staff here is not attentive and make false promises for fixing issues that should be handled promptly. The upkeep is horrendous and they fail to fix issues. I can't begin to imagine how they have been up and running for as long as they have however I recommend you look to a different location if you wish to be apart of a community who doesn't just take your money and treat you like crap. Staff are the absolute worst and I hope that they all get fired because they have no business having a property where everything is broken and they refuse to fix.
