The apartments themselves are nice with nice appliances, but that is were the nice ends. When my husband and I moved in last year, we were told it was a during their promotional period and that all it was an all inclusive deal (rent, electric, water, trash, sewage), only to move in and a receive an electric bill; in their lease, they state that they can charge you for any utilities at anytime they choose. Living there was great for the first few months, but as different people moved in my building and the surrounding buildings, the novelty wore off. The neighbors I had were trash. They stayed up to all hours of the night, drinking and smoking, and littering. They would throw their beer bottles and cans across the common lawn and also shove them into the bushes. I would find cigarette butts next to the cigarette trash can. There would also be fast food trash around my building left on the sidewalk, where someone must have taken it out of their car and left it there. Not to mention that if you are a responsible dog owner and pick up after you dog, be prepared to encounter a lot of people who do not care to pick up the giant shits that their dogs leave behind. It was so bad at one point that my own dog stepped in shit because it was everywhere. When I was living there, the price I was paying really was not worth it. All the amenities that they claim to have are really not that great. A few friends and I tried to play pool once, but most, if not all, of the pool cues' tips were broken and made playing very difficult. The computers that they have are nice computers when they are not riddled with viruses, so many viruses that the printer won't even work. They provide free, unlimited printing, but every single time that I wanted to take advantage of that amenity, the printer did not work, and I could either send it to the people in the office for them to print or just go somewhere else and pay for it. This was very inconvenient when I wanted to print coupons because I could not just email them to the office staff. Arlington West does have a very nice saltwater pool that is open for most of the day during the summer months, but get there quick because the chairs fill up fast! And if you are one of those who does not like to swim in pools with children, then this pool is not for you because there will be 10 or 12 children in the pool with you, peeing and splashing and screaming. The gym facility they provide is perfect for women or men that are beginning to work out. It is small, but it has an array of equipment and weights. I did like this aspect of the complex. The only bad thing about the workout room is it begins to feel very small when four people are in there. But it is usually only occupied by one person or sometimes none. So the gym was nice! Overall, this place was really just a huge disappointment for us, and from what we understand, the property underwent many management changes during the year that we lived there. Maybe now with this current manager, things will be better. But from my experience, I will not recommend this place to anyone. Over-priced and over-rated.
Whoever wrote that these people are rude must have issues! I LOVE everything about this apartment complex. It is a relatively quiet, family friendly and pet friendly community. They keep both the insides and outside well kemp. Maintenance is quick. All amenities you could possibly think of are here including tanning, pool, gym, free cookies baked fresh daily, coffee in the club house, in-unit laundry, etc etc. They are VERY reasonably priced and all utilities besides internet are included in their low cost. High-end apartments for sure. And - they put on at least monthly activities for the community - this month is a free pizza party for all to attend. DEF recommend this place!
I've had a wonderful experience at Independence Place! The apartment is HUGE and gorgeous, and all-inclusive! The amenities are wonderful. The staff is always incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They even have a fenced in area where my dog can run leash-free! Maintenance issues get taken care of very quickly, though I think I've only ever had one issue. The parking hasn't really been too much of an issue for me (and even if it is, I get some extra exercise by walking!). Overall, I don't plan on leaving here for a long time! :) You get a TON of quality and value for the price you pay, and it is definitely worth it! I highly recommend living here!
I have lived at this apartment complex for a year and a half now and when I first moved in I loved it management was great Liz was FABULOUS and had no issues what-so-ever! However shortly after moving in (about 3 months) they got new management and it all went down from there. Anna the property manager is a complete and total b!tch who needs to get the stick out of her a$$ and get off her power trip. We wanted to move to a bigger apartment and we had to pay $500 to get out of our one bedroom lease, so we did with no complaints. We picked out the two bedroom layout we wanted and waited a month to get it. Well went to move in and it was the WRONG layout and I told Anna that and she said that there was a apartment with the correct layout opening in two weeks, however it was on the first floor and we would have to pay the $25 EXTRA month to live on the first floor. I told her that it was not my mistake and that I would not pay that and argued with her until she gave it to us without the extra fee. After moving in about 5 months later we got new orders and I was at school so I came home one weekend and my hubs took me and my dog off the lease so he could move. However his orders got canceled a month later (in June). It is now September and this b!tch is trying to make us pay $150 for myself and the dog to get put back on the lease. Since I refuse to do that my dog cannot stay with me and I cannot stay at my own home for more than 10 days in a row or we can get fined. Also my floor in the kitchen is cracking because they put these apartments up with cheap materials. No one picks up their dogs sh!t, however I understand why because there are never any bags to pick it up with. I have had to call several times about the pool being green and the grass needing to be cut. This is not the place to live go to Liberty Point on Piney Green ask for Beth or Liz they will help you out! Once our lease is up we are out and I am NEVER looking back at this place!
These apartments are GORGEOUS! My husband Daniel and I were helped by Allie. She was very sweet, she showed us the apartments and that same day we applied. We were approved and we can't wait to move into our new place!
