First of all, let me say that Bridgewater on the Lake is a beautiful community and the renovated units are absolutely gorgeous. I visited the leasing center on a Friday afternoon after work and was shown several units and was honestly very impressed and very interested in renting a two bedroom apartment. I even brought my mother back the next afternoon to show her where I was considering living. At the conclusion of both visits, I was promised an email containing the room dimensions and a confirmation from the leasing agent's manager that I would get the special for a specific unit, as during the showings, I was told that I could get the first month's rent free and apply it to my rent over the course of the 12 month lease…Needless to say, I called a couple of times to follow up and never received a call back, nor did I receive a single email with the information I was promised. Due to this complete lack of communication and disregard, I have decided to rent elsewhere. Some of the reviews I had seen mentioned the office staff being nonchalant and unresponsive to customer concerns after moving in, and I disregarded them, because I know that a lot of reviews are exaggerated. However, after dealing with the staff personally and never hearing a single word when I made it clear that I was ready to sign a lease, I can say that obviously the reviews were true, and clearly the staff is not as interested in getting their units rented as they originally portrayed. It was mentioned that a lot of people were moving out- perhaps poor customer service on behalf of the office staff at Bridgewater is why.
I actually enjoy living here. Of course if you do not pay your rent they are going to try and collect that's an obligation of the renter. So far, I have not had any problems. Its quite the people are friendly and I am happy. I was paying a ton more now I am in an economical two bedroom. The con is that there is no microwave and the appliances are outdated. That's fine I am just renting. I was able to make my place very inviting and people forget about the appliances. I would recommend a resident that is seeking a quite place to move in here. Im happy with my selection.
Horrible property manager. So rude and inconsiderate and unwilling to help. So unqualified it hurts. She should be ashamed of herself and how she treats the people paying all that money to live in a community that don't care about its residents . HORRIBLE YOUNG LADY!
Parking can be terrible depending on where your apartment is located. The kitchen appliances are outdated compared to the other apartment complexes in the area. My thermostat looked like it was from the 1990. I could not rest in my living room because the air conditioning unit was so old that it was extremely loud whenever it came on. The walls are paper thin; I could hear my neighbors TV when I was in my bedroom. I would suggest looking elsewhere due to the money hungry employees. There are nicer apartment complexes in the area with competitive prices and friendlier staff.
I'd like to start this review out by saying, my wife and I haven't lived here for 7 years now. About once every 2 years or so Bridgewater will send to collections agents some random amount between $200 and $400 that they say we owe for some arbitrary reason or another. The last three times we paid because it seemed the easiest way to avoid messing up our credit while we were shopping for a house. We just received another call from a collections agency today saying we owe more money. This is a life long leech not an apartment complex. !!!STAY AWAY!!!
