Recommend if you have an energetic dog that barks all the time because they don't enforce it noise complaints/lease violations. Would not recommend if your a college student that loses sleep because you can't fall asleep to the relaxing sound of barking. I've called 8 times, sometimes during business hours and sometimes I've left a message at 2am. I've never received a call back. Will not be renewing my lease here.
I think its actually a pretty nice, well kept complex. The property is beautifully landscaped. Its pretty quiet also IMO. As far as the maintenance guy's go I think there pretty good. Only time they had to come was to un-clog the a/c drain line which is a problem w/ any a/c unit. Only negative thing I can think of is sometimes hearing the upstairs neighbors but that's to be expected in most any downstairs apartment.
I like nothing about them, especially since they lost, Stacy! They took out the playground, the jacuzzi, the tanning bed when it works is a joke, they now shut down the pool,( in Florida) during school hours, and the list goes on. Now, as the rent continues to skyrocket, the tenants are paying for combined water usage, even when they don't themselves do not use that much. Water usage from leaks, especially A/C leaks from other units (TPC) uses used equipment, water leaks from unoccupied units, and an all time favorite; constant sprinkler usage during rainy season, especially last summer when it flooded out here!! Management at this place has sucked since, Stacy had to leave due to medical reasons. Those who came in under her are leaving!
Positives: great pest control - never see anything alive in my unit even though there are a million huge trees around which was a problem in my old apartment complex and a big reason why we moved. prompt and friendly maintenance staff. We have rarely had to contact them to do anything, but even our emergency call for our fridge not working was handled well and without expressed annoyance on being called in. Neutral but could use improvement: Love the playground, but wish there was an infant swing so my young daughter could enjoy the swings safely. Sometimes the trash compactor is neglected...I avoid taking my trash out Monday mornings as that seems to be a favorite time for people to discard their refuse and pile it up high :/ Negatives (within the staffs control): the second pool being closed most of the year and with really bad hours when its open. I live right next to it but have never been able to use it because its basically only open half the year during work hours. I absolutely hate that the cable is included in rent. My family uses the internet only and streams netflix or other programs like that, we never use the cable. If you're going to be forced to pay for a cable service, at least make it the internet and not TV...this is actually a factor in me moving out because $40/month for cable I never use equals $480 a year wasted on a service I don't want or need. Negatives (outside of staff control): Noisy upstairs neighbors stomping at all hours of the night. Noisy kids in the complex running around playing around after reasonable hours/dark.
I would rate it less than 1 star if I could. I heard my upstairs neighbors' every move and I was given huge rent increases upon renewal every year. In addition, there are added fees from cable to pest control to water and no washer/dryer in unit. These people (MAA) are money grubbers. The insulation is horrendous, and I had a bunch of early 20's males living above me, taking all the parking spots and being loud at all hours of the day and night. Don't move here!
