I was a bridesmaid in a bachelorette party that reserved a cabana at the Mondrian Hotel pool in early March of 2015. When we first walked in, it wasn't hard to see that the hotel itself was beautiful and decorated in classic South Beach style - lots of white and very modern - which we loved. We walked through the lobby and out the back doors to the pool area and were immediately impressed. The decor was classy and clean, and our cabana was perfectly placed with a waterfront view. David, who worked with our Maid-of-Honor in planning our event, was more than accommodating. He was friendly, helpful, and seemed genuinely interested in making sure we had a wonderful day. Our server Gina was as sweet as can be, quick with food and drinks, and very patient with such a large group of girls. We loved her so much that we tipped her on top of the 18% added gratuity. To anyone visiting Miami, I would definitely recommend making the Mondrian a place that you spend a day at. We plan on coming back soon! Thanks for the fantastic afternoon!
Celebrated my 40th Birthday in January 2014. Besides the rooms being very old and freshly painted less than an hour we arrived, it was ok. I wouldn't return. We had 2 rooms, of which one was under my name and my card, and the other my friend's name and her card. She stayed in the room with her mother and child, and paid with her own credit card. I stayed in the room with my friends and paid in full when I booked the room weeks before arrival. I check out and paid for anything additional upon departure. It is now October 18th, 2014, 9 months later, and I have received a letter from a collection agency from the Mondrian Hotel, South Beach. Apparently, my friend in the other room had an issue with the hotel for over charging her one night, and eventually had the issue settled with her credit card company months ago. Why am I receiving a collection bill for over $2000??? This is fraud and illegal! I paid all charges on my card for my room in January as I checked out of the hotel. If there were any issues with my card or any unpaid balances, which apparently there wasn't, I should have been contacted 9 months ago. The Mondrian will be hearing from my lawyer!
Spent the weekend at the Mondrian with my girlfriend, and it was hands down the best hotel experience I have ever had. From check in, the customer service was impeccable. The staff was as friendly and as accommodating as could be, start to finish. The front office assistant manager, Mirta, made sure that our experience was as delightful as could be, and you could tell that she absolutely loved her job. We had a light bulb fall from the mirror in our bathroom, and when she head about it, she made a personal follow up call to our room to make sure we were happy and accommodated. The room itself was beautiful and spacious. The view of the bay from the balcony was breathtaking. I would have been fine sitting on the balcony all night without leaving the hotel. The decor is very hip, yet elegant. Our trip got even better the next day, when we decided to spend some time by the pool. We were immediately greeted by David, the pool concierge, who is also incredible at his job. It's not often that I remember the name of hotel employees, but on this occasion, I remembered two. David made it a point to treat us like celebrities, and I have a feeling that he is so good at his job that everyone feels the same. He absolutely would not let us lift a finger, to the point that if we asked him to carry us into the pool, he probably would have done it. Thanks to Mirta and David's hospitality, I would have a tough time staying anywhere BUT the Mondrian in South Beach ever again. I will undoubtedly be back.
Mondrain has terrible, horrible, no good, very bad Internet service.
Cool hotel and great views
