Lived here 1 year...on deployment paid reservation fee for a 4th floor apt. The ocupant refused to leave and they began the eviction i guess... They would not refund my deposit. And the only option was a 3rd floor. I had no choice but to take it to not lose any more money. The apartment had 2 large verman holes in the master bath on the base boards. Tons of feces from that previous animal in cabnets and closet and the doors were torn up with bite and claw marks. The family above stomps an insane amount and actually made one of the light fixtures fall and almost hit a guest i had over. They have a serious wasp problem so you cant go on your deck without that. The main foset leaks on the counter and runs all the time. Maint said the part was on order when i moved in and has never replaced it. The rent is roughly $300-400.00 over the average in the area. Oh there was a stabing accross the hall and they refused to address it before it came to the police just making an arrest and then taking them both away.... Also they did not do anythng about domestic violence assult on his wife in the above apt. And a drunken brawl in the parking lot they took over 4 months to actually do anything to the tenant and evict them. Who actually didnt even live here and was squatting in his friends apartment. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. The crap website goes down all the time so if you need to pay rent you have to physically go to the office with a check aswell. One last thing the carpet cleaning guy barged into my apartment without knocking early and was confused like he lived in my apartment.... do not live here. The kitchen is the only posative for appliances and counters. I hope this prevents anyone else from dealing with this incompetent staff.
I recently renewed my lease at GV and I have been meaning to write a review for about 10 months now. So here it is: I have been living here for almost a year. What I love about it is that I feel pretty safe here as far as the security of my building and that I don't have to go outside to get rid of my trash or check my mail. The tenants I live around are very quiet and all seem really nice. The grounds are well maintained and most of all the staff is great. A shout out to Mia for making life easy and for responding so quickly to my emails about things!!! Also, I find the building clean and very quiet which means a lot to me. It really is a nice apartment (I have a one bedroom - the largest 1 bedroom floor plan) and there is so much light from the windows (i am on a corner unit) and my cat loves to watch birds from the window sills. I looked at other places before, I think this is by far the best bang for the buck. The clubhouse, gym and pool are big pluses as well as the fact it's close to the beach, downtown Norfolk, etc. too! I am very happy living here! :-) Highly recommend!
I should have never renewed my lease, apartment is cheaply made. My apartment doesnt even have a peep hole. New management taking over makes it worse, 27 dollars just to pay your rent online.
It stinkssss do not move here. Mold growing in hallway on fourth floor for months and nothing is being done.
Where do I begin... After over 40 years of living in Single Family homes I decided to get rid of all the headaches ( mowing the yard, fixing things, property taxes, ext ). Obviously there were many choices for me. I visited the complex months before my anticipated move and felt at home from the beginning. Melissa is the manager and the folks she has working with her are AWESOME from her office Assistants to the Maintenance crew...she has developed quite a team. I frankly didn't know what to expect, but I have been PLEASANTLY surprised! I have found not only a place to live but for me, I HAVE FOUND...HOME!! Close to the Interstate, close to all the activity "Downtown" , a Super Wal Mart coming soon...at Greenwich Village Apartments I have it all. You can to, AND you won't be disappointed!
