I recently renewed my lease at GV and I have been meaning to write a review for about 10 months now. So here it is: I have been living here for almost a year. What I love about it is that I feel pretty safe here as far as the security of my building and that I don't have to go outside to get rid of my trash or check my mail. The tenants I live around are very quiet and all seem really nice. The grounds are well maintained and most of all the staff is great. A shout out to Mia for making life easy and for responding so quickly to my emails about things!!! Also, I find the building clean and very quiet which means a lot to me. It really is a nice apartment (I have a one bedroom - the largest 1 bedroom floor plan) and there is so much light from the windows (i am on a corner unit) and my cat loves to watch birds from the window sills. I looked at other places before, I think this is by far the best bang for the buck. The clubhouse, gym and pool are big pluses as well as the fact it's close to the beach, downtown Norfolk, etc. too! I am very happy living here! :-) Highly recommend!
I should have never renewed my lease, apartment is cheaply made. My apartment doesnt even have a peep hole. New management taking over makes it worse, 27 dollars just to pay your rent online.
It stinkssss do not move here. Mold growing in hallway on fourth floor for months and nothing is being done.
Where do I begin... After over 40 years of living in Single Family homes I decided to get rid of all the headaches ( mowing the yard, fixing things, property taxes, ext ). Obviously there were many choices for me. I visited the complex months before my anticipated move and felt at home from the beginning. Melissa is the manager and the folks she has working with her are AWESOME from her office Assistants to the Maintenance crew...she has developed quite a team. I frankly didn't know what to expect, but I have been PLEASANTLY surprised! I have found not only a place to live but for me, I HAVE FOUND...HOME!! Close to the Interstate, close to all the activity "Downtown" , a Super Wal Mart coming soon...at Greenwich Village Apartments I have it all. You can to, AND you won't be disappointed!
A friend of mine is moving out of there, and I don't blame him. His family lives on the fourth floor, and the elevator has been broken for over a week. You want to figure the odds that NO ONE in that apartment building has mobility issues (knee problems/sprained ankle or broken bone), no one is elderly? There's no excuse for failing to maintain an elevator. The stair well smells like urine, because dog owners don't clean up after their animals. Luxury Apartments indeed... Fancy slum is more like it.
