Aesthetically pleasing apartments with old bones, but the biggest issue is low integrity amongst management. Decided to rent a house instead, and I'm glad I did. The housing renters said they would never take my money (holding fee) without actually doing business with us, but La Privada was happy to keep my $50 when I cancelled my move-in plans. I read the reviews, hoped they weren't as shady as people keep saying, but nope. They took my application fee's (2x $35, for my girlfriend and I), and kept the holding fee even though we won't move in at all. $120 taken, $50 of it stolen. Someone warned me right before I gave them my money order, and I should have listened. THERE IS NO REFUND ON MONEY ORDERS. They lied. Don't do business with them. Take it from the angry residents you'll hear from every time you're in their office. It's not a reputable place, just read the reviews.
Don't expect quick service if there is a problem in your apartment. I called in a problem with my shower in Jan 2016. Nothing. Again in Feb 2016. Nothing. Finally today they said they would have someone look at it. This after almost three months. Plus they never answer the phones or return messages when left on the answering machine or with the emergency maintenance service.
This place is wacked on crack!! I respect the new the new women at the front desk who are real and not fake, as od since I have lived her I have never seen so many women working the front desk leave. Bless them and this is the worst false advertiment pIace. I have never lived in, but so blessed to be moving out soon. I would never live in a place of lazy, BS people. I respectonly one real woman in this messed up place, but so blessed and glad to be out of this place!! Stick with your word and fix it as you say you will!! Please don't live in this complex!!! Thank you!
The maintenance is okay, but they take their time when getting to fix problems(mainly because theres a long line of problems in front of us) in the apartment, floors are very squeaky, and walls are super thin. Right when we moved in, there were so many problems with the apartment, broken cabinets and sliding doors with the laundry room, cockroaches, we signed a 16 month lease in nov :( so we wont be out of there until march 2017. The person who had helped us sign our lease was a girl named Nicole, thank god she left the apartment company, because she was horrible, she never showed us the apartment, SHE FORCED US to sign the lease. & she never input anything with the problems that were already there in the apartment to get fixed. WE ARE DEFINITELY moving when the lease is up. We also had our roof leak cause apparently, the plumbing upstairs had a main pipe thru our kitchen. UGH!! so inconvenient. ALSO our bathroom shower in the main bedroom WORKS WHEN IT WANTS TO!! Also the "security" they have, is never around because we had our car broken into twice...
The maintenance supervisor russ who drives a green truck sits aound and does absolutley nothing. When he entered my apartment nothing was done. He asked an older man to do it. He stated," russ said he had an emergency" i then noticed russ on the corner of my apartment texting in his truck for about 20 minutes then moved to a different area after he noticed me. This man is not an honest person! He has poor work ethic and does not display any leadership skills. He sould have been able to fix my work order himself being that he is a supervisor. Worthless is what he is! I cant believe this company even pays the guy. Oh, on a nice note for this pathetic man i do recall my neighbor who is a younger female stating he helped her change a lightbulb while telling her she looked pretty today! What a nice maintenance man!
