This place used to be pretty great. But ever since they changed their management, it's falling apart like no one's business. They barely give out any notices for any changes the make then make you pay when you don't know their new policies. For example, they took out their office credit card readers and forgot to tell anyone so when we tried to pay they told us were out of luck. When we tried to address this issue with the office, they told us that they had sent out a statement. Looking over the statement they sent out, they just mentioned a new online system without mentioning the fact their old one was gone. Earlier last year they closed off their drop box without warning anyone. We tried to get our lease renewed, though we were told that we were late when we had the wrong date. After the fact we realized it was out fault, though when we were arguing with the front office we were told that the lease renewal statement was a courtesy and we should be happy that we got that much. My roommate has had issues with the office telling her when she gets insulin shipments in, shipments that need to be gotten on the same day to avoid spoilage. Over all, we've had a few major problems with the management. We've also gotten quite a few new neighbors who've been fighting non-stop and the patrol takes around 3 hours to respond. They've never actually acted on these complaints beyond a swat on the wrist. My friend who lives near the pool is constantly bothered late at night by teenagers who like to gather there and make a ruckus. The sidewalks are littered with dog poop and maintenance takes about a week to fix anything, The good news is we haven't had any major problems with people trying to steal form our cars and the washer and dryer are really, really convenient, so that's a plus I guess? If you're looking to rent, I recommend looking at the reviews from after the management change. It's been an awful change and the indoor washer and dryer isn't worth it. I'd also recommend looking at people who've actually lived here over the people who're looking to live here since the office is much nicer to new move ins than they are current residents. RE: We've managed to sort out some issues, though there are enough to make this place less than ideal.
** Updating my review 3/10/15** Changing my review to three stars as if they made it even, it was okay overall.... Its been three months since I sent them a certified letter fighting in detail the charges for my move out.. I haven't heard anything from the management company, or a shady collection company.. Credit file untouched.. So although still bitter and not the best apartment experience.. changing to OK for now... ************************************I lived here 6 months.. Well 5 1/2...I moved out early but gave the right amount of notice and they had a extra couple weeks to to clean and such..Parking was good- Near town and walking distance to restaurants and bus lines .. Now the bad... I could hear everything above me with the thin walls and stairs that go to the upper units.. and the people don't clean up after their dogs, there is dog waste everywhere.. I was in the bottom unit and plumbing backed up in the kitchen one night.. Into my kitchen and surrounding floors.. Horrible mess- Took almost 24 hours to get it fixed ... I came home from work on a Friday night and it didn't get fixed until Saturday afternoon- They said it was "only" waste from sinks but it was disgusting.. the carpets in the kitchen area were drenched and it went through the wall into the living room..I had to go search for property maintenance guys the following Saturday morning before the office opened as they forgot about my issue... I never made a big deal with the management office- Even though the smell really never went away- I am a nice person- When I moved out I was in a hurry- There was no major damage- I figured my $150 deposit would go towards cleaning- Well they charged me for carpets, painting and stuff that was NOT WRONG with the apartment.. I am fighting it.. Things that happen with the water damage - But it was MY fault for not making the management office aware of the damage even thought he maintenance guys were well aware, even told me they were remolding my apartment next due to damage.. So when you move out, if you actually move into this place ( they have new management hey maybe they are better, I heard they used to be really nice and fair ) record with a video recorder and better yet have someone from the office do a walk through to document the place.... I am still fighting my charges.. And every time something goes wrong, have the office document it.. Shady way to do business..
I picked the villas because of their great central location and amenities. The staff, especially my leasing officer Nicole, was very helpful and thorough. I was offered a variety of apartment and leasing contracts which made it easier to choose the right option for me.
During the whole process I was dealt with very professionally. They made everything very easy and I felt very welcomed and like I belonged from the very get go.
New management is top rate. Great staff and clean property. A great sense of community and some beautiful dogs to admire at the pet park.
