Terrible human beings. They come into low wage rentals and begin to gentrify. They set requirements that no one making a low wage income can afford. A friend is disabled, requires a wheelchair much of the time to get arou8nd and requires help doing even the most basic things at times. They denied her boyfriend, the person who acts as her caretaker, residence based on a 27 year old criminal conviction. They have left her basicaly helpless over night with no one to ask for help should it be needed. Typical management company BS.
I haven't been renting from Jennings for very long, which is why I intend on editing this review as time goes on. With that in mind, the apartment we rented was mostly clean when we got in. Found a couple of dead bugs here and there, some dust, and a little dirt on the light switches. However, the carpet was obviously taken care of, and I've not seen anything in the apartment to make me regret renting from Jennings. First night in, we found out that the toilet had been clogged by whoever had used it before us, and that our bathroom sink had a slow drain. Contacted them promptly, and the maintenance man arrived the very next day. By then we had already fixed the clogged toilet with a plunger, but we had him inspect it anyway just to be sure. He also fixed our slow draining issue in the bathroom, and said that he would return in a few days to replace a couple of things. Also gave us a tip on how to avoid clogged drains. I've found Jennings to be, mostly, kind. A couple of times I almost felt as if they weren't very personable, but I feel that has a lot to do with being so busy all the time (I used to work retail, so I know). Overall, though, I never felt as if they were being disrespectful thus far, and I hope that we can continue to have good relations with them during our stay here. The only reason, so far, that they aren't being given a 5 star rating from me is because of the fact that there were dead bugs and dirt in the apartment, and a couple of damages that were present prior to our moving in. Overall, though, I'm more than happy to be renting our first apartment through them.
Absolute slumlords. Stole $600 dollars from us which was 3/4 of our security deposit. They were terrible to work with and slow to respond. 10/10 would never rent from again. Is littered with mediocrity from top to bottom. Terrible company. DO NOT RENT
I've managed my own property for a decade and, frankly, got tired of the hassle. My life would have been so much easier had I allowed them to manage my property sooner. I'd highly recommend their excellent service.
Just like everyone else!! I should have read the reviews first!!! Called and left 4 different messages about a rental!!! NEVER ONCE GOT A CALL BACK!!! Paid the BULL CRAP $40 app fee that was suppose to only be $35. Pretty positive they already had it rented out WITHOUT removing it from their AVAILABLE RENTALS online. So I CALL FRAUD!!!!! Claiming to have a rental available, charging people to apply for Said rental that is NOT AVAILABLE!!! THAT IS STEALING!!!!!!!! DONT LET THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY HAVE A DIME OF YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY!!! THEY WILL NEVER RETURN YOUR CALLS BUT OF COURSE THEY ARE MORE THAN HAPPY TO TAKE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!
