The grounds are well maintained and the prices are affordable. I like the flat rate utilities. However, they promised me everything was working correctly in the apartment and when I moved in, the shower doesn't work, the door had previously been kicked down, the drawers stick and are very difficult to open and the closet doors keep falling off of the sliders. I came in the first day and requested a work order for the door and the shower and I came in the next day when no one had come to check with me. They say that they "guarantee" maintenance will check in with you within 24 hours or else they give you a rent credit. But I guess the guarantee doesn't apply to me, because they just told me that they were "backed up" and would get to me when they got to me. Several days later, maintenance finally came in and worked on the door for a couple hours. When he left, nothing had been fixed. Shower is still broken, closet door came off again, and all he did to the door was put a metal guarder around the deadbolt which didn't fix the split in the door that prevents it from latching. The entire door needs replaced, but I guess that's just too much work for them. Very disappointed in the way I've been treated and the false promises I was made.
STAY AWAY!!! by far the worst apartments ive ever had the misfortune of living in! managmanet is terrible and rude, they dont know what theyre doing. the grounds are not kept, the lakes are disgusting and the dog park odor is strong enough to cross the courtyard. i was approached my managment for open carrying which is 100% legal in the state of NM and she kept insisting that i needed a permit to open carry. they couldnt even check my balance so i could pay my rent, they said they dont have access to the new system without managment and that none were available until the follwing day!Im the customer in this situation why should i try to take off work or plan my schedule around them!? these people have no idea what theyre doing here. save yourself the hassle and move to a better place than this one.
I lived at this apartment from January to June. I paid my rent and bills promptly every month. I left the apartment in spotless condition. While I was living there there was a problem with people seriously damaging cars in the parking lot... not small things like keying cars, i'm talking thousands of dollars worth of damage. The management did nothing about this other than putting notes on our doors to tell us to keep an eye on our vehicles. The locks to the gates were ALWAYS broken. Not once during the six months i was there did they repair the locks. When I asked about it I was told "we fix them all the time, the renters just break them again". Yeah.. they break the exact same gate in the exact same way? Sure, whatever you say. My current problem, however, is getting my safety deposit back. I have not heard from them since i left in June. I call AT LEAST once a month, or send them e-mails, or go down there... and they always give me the run around. I'm seriously getting tired of this bullsh*t. They have a large sum of MY MONEY, and they are pretending it never existed. I'm seriously inches away from contacting a lawyer. Oh, and try calling the number on their website. It'll go to an automatic machine, which will make you select a number. No matter what number you select the phone will ring once and the machine will tell you to call back later. This is a disgustingly managed apartment. They steal your money with an innocent face. Vile disgusting people, who don't even bother to do their job. I hope the entire company goes out of business, it's the least those a$$wipes deserve.
I'm kind of surprised by the negative comments on here. I don't know, maybe it used to be crappy. I've been here for 6 months. We use the gym frequently and the equipment works just fine. And yes, there's occasional puppy pee in the elevator, but it's cleaned up quickly. My daughter let them know that there was pee in the elevator and it was clean and smelled of Pine-Sol when we used it again less than an hour later. The neighbors are really quiet and I've never had a problem with vandalism in the parking lot. I lived in a "nicer" part of town for a few years before I moved here, and had a car stolen and another one set on fire, as well as my home vandalized and broken into over there. The management is good here too. One of the ladies in the office even came to our home personally to fix our closet door and they made some changes with the cost of rent that I was really happy with. So far, I'd highly recommend this place. The only down side that I'd have to agree with is that the pond needs to be cleaned up and the fountain fixed.
I am a very low maintenance tenant. I have lived at the Pearl for a little over 5 months now. There has been one change of management during my time and the difference shows. The new management are much slower to resolve problems and complaints. The attitude I get from front office staff is 'We will get to it eventually'. That set aside the Pearl is affordably priced. I absolutely love my apartment, it has vaulted ceilings, a fire place and balcony. My apartment is located on the fourth floor and I have no/little interuptions from other tenants. The landscaping is beautiful compared to previous complex's I have rented from. I am giving the Pearl a 4 out of five because although they are slow to correct issues, the issues are addressed and rare (for me). Since beginning my lease I have had 3 issues all of which I am satisfied with the end results.
