DO NOT MOVE IN I am a current resident here & can not wait till my lease is up! Thought this would be the perfect apartment and I was fooled! From our move in day till now, we are having issues (now 3 months in) Told we could move in first thing in the morning, turned out we had to wait hours because they did not clean the apartment or anything till that day! Our counters suck which im sure will be blamed on us later. Mold all over the sinks, which I cannot get out. Had an issue with water ants, our flooring which they never fixed, issue with hot water which I can see its been going on four two years according to the reviews. Point blank period, I HATE THIS PLACE.
Management here are extremely rude! They went from paying in rent in person to mailing our checks due to theft! I have NEVER been late and one month they did not receive it and an office lady came to my door very rudely banging and yelling around noon! I work evenings and was sleeping before so it took me a minute to wake up and answer and she very rudely walked in!!! I have never felt intruded on like that before! Turned out that my check was sent back to me!!! I have witnessed someone steal a car from here and had my bike stolen from my second story balcony! My water is constantly being turned off, and when it does work there's no pressure! I had a friends car towed for no permit (when I was NEVER offered a parking permit myself!) and told that they should've parked in the visitors parking (which is probably 900 from my apartment) and only consisting of 4 spots for everyone around so its ALWAYS full! There's graffiti all around and I'm pretty sure that neighbors in the building next to mine sell drugs for a living because they sit outside ALL night drinking and having RANDOM people stopping by for a couple minutes at a time. There's constantly fights between neighbors late at night and weirdos sitting outside creepily watching you like they're going to kill you during the day! I don't feel at home at these apartments and I definitely would NOT raise a family here!
Do not move here. I was dropping off my application for the apartment and my phone was stolen out of my car! thats a clear sign of the neighborhood! Not safe at all ..My windows where not down I actually saw the guy walking away from my car. White guy with sandy red hair. SMH.
It's been a month since I have found traces of a rat in my apartment. Management and maintenance has been exceptionally lackadaisical in assisting me with catching and removing the rat. The apartment on the first floor found 6 rats in his apartment which he was able to catch. I remember coming home from work, sitting on the couch and watching this HUGE rat run across the living room and into a hole in my bathroom. Thankfully my downstairs neighbor and her husband helped me search my apartment for rodents and secure the hole we found. In fact, we sat on the coach contemplating what we could use to block the rat from coming in and out of my apartment. With a few books and their coaster, we were able to shut off the hole. I went back to the apartment office and strongly recommend immediate assistance. Maintenance came over with two traps and NO bait. I provided my own food to bait the traps and they left my materials blocking the hole. i called the office again and spoke to management to inquire of when they had plans to block the hole i found. I was then asked if there were holes in my storage unit. I wondered how i would know if there are holes behind my front load washer and dryer; was i suppose to move them? The maintenance and/or an exterminator could comb my apartment and storage unit to uncover any and all holes leading into my apartment. 08/21/13 maintenance came and closed the hole I was covering with personal books, a mop handle and coaster. Maintenance removed the materials I used to cover the hole with wire and foam. They promised to return the following day to fix the mess they left (excess foam). Today is 08/30/2013 and no one has come to my apartment to re-bait the traps, inquire on rodent activity and/or clean up the mess they left in my bathroom. This morning, as I paid my rent, I handed the manager the traps and the note maintenance left in my apartment...promising to return the following day. After speaking to management, I was told they did not know of all of the issues I have been having with my apartment. I think they choose not to know. I have been in the office several times and spoke to the manager about the issue. I have also had issues with the water being turned off without notice. Since living there, I have also been asked to park far from my apartment complex because of construction vehicles and dumpsters in our parking lot for months without a definite time of departure. I have also had squirrels captured in the attic and made aware of raccoons in the walls. I have had trouble closing the door leading out to the patio. In fact, recently the bottom of the door began to hang preventing me from closing it in its entirety. I called the apartment complex when it happened and once again they conveniently forgot and had to be reminded again. I pay $745 for a one bedroom and have not been happy. I will not be renewing my lease with this apartment complex as I do not like living with rats, being continuously inconvenienced.
Lived here a year and a half. When I moved in, rent was $490/mo. After a year, they wanted $545. Once my 6-month lease was over, they wanted $575. I could afford that ridiculous rate, so I moved out. Afterwards they charged me $500 for the carpet which was stained when I moved into the apartment originally. Management there is a huge joke. Save yourself the hassle and never move here.
