If you just want a place to live it should suffice. The features of the apartment aren't terrible but if you are living alone the apartments are overpriced. Still this is a one star review and that's because of the terrible service we received when moving out along with other features of the apartment that drove me nuts. We were given a pretty clear cut list of things that needed cleaning to get our deposit back and after following the list down to every detail we we did not receive our deposit back. Instead we were charged for a full repaint, carpet cleaning, and professional cleaning of the apartment. We requested reasons for using our deposit for these items and were shown two pictures of normal wear and tear which were "Not in the same condition as presented when the apartment was shown". Basically my point is expect your deposit to be fully used and taken to handle standard cleaning practices that a landlord must take to prepare an apartment for a new tenant. On top of that there are several other annoying things about this complex. Such as you need to purchase a key fob for your building for doors that don't lock. There was an elaborate buzzer system which was supposed to link to your phone to let people in but again the doors never locked. There was a significant lack of visitor parking and the elevator broke down on a monthly basis. Also on a few occasions the water went out in the building without warning. My advice don't live here.
I live in 550 with 3 other friends. We are here for college and been here for 3-4 months. The area can be dirty and neighbors be rude at times, but overall its a very basic complex. The leasing office staff are quite rude acting like you should know it all, and the maintenance staff claim to "know it all". yet there are still broken things in our apt. If you can ignore other people and live here just to live here, you will be fine. Follow the rules, ignore others, and dont wreck your apt. If you can do all that, you will be fine.
Overall this was a very poor experience. My husband and I lived here for 6 months, and when we moved out, they kept our entire $400 deposit because they said they needed to re-paint the whole apartment. I have pictures, and I can prove it didn't need the repainting, which really disappointed me. On top of that, they made some promises at the beginning that they changed at the check-out process. The apartment remodels look nice, but it is apparent that they chose the cheapest fixtures possible - the carpet was low-quality, the bathtub was re-painted instead of replaced, the kitchen cabinets were re-faced with cheap replacements. Over all, the apartment smelled weird, the management was rude, the policies were ridiculous, and the experience was unpleasant. Save yourself the heartache and rent elsewhere!
DO NOT LIVE HERE. I currently live here. sure, it may seem nice in a glance with the newly painted walls and dryer/washer. HOWEVER, the service is horrendous here. I have placed multiple work orders. All work orders came unannounced. VERY unorganized. Construction is CONSTANTLY going on. Noise level is unbearable. There is something going out on my window as I type this. I cannot wait to move out.
