I would have gave 0 stars if I could. My apartment and car got broken into and they have a small staff I had to wait weeks for some one to come and fix what was wrong with my apartment. Everything is cheaply made and the manager is awful and did not want to help me at all! I had water leaking into my apartment for days!! I was told to just put a bucket! DO NOT MOVE IN !!!!! WORST apartments ever! Someone was always parked in my parking stall I called the tow truck on them once and after that my car windows were broken twice and they would always egg my brand new car and nothing was ever done. They also scratched my car but yet nothing was done. I talked to many of my neighbors and 5/8 of us got robbed so let me say it again the worst apartments ever! They also made so many excuses in charging me after I moved out even after they had already sent me my $8 dollar check. Then I was threatened to not deposit it by the manager and was told they were going to charge me for brand new carpet which is ridiculous because my carpet was in great condition and was deep cleaned before I left. Get ready to call the police every weekend if you move in because there is always parties going on. It looks quite during the day but don't be deceived. I wish I would have looked at the reviews before I moved in.
I feel like it's unfair to rate the whole as just two star. However that IS what the average came out to... So here's a breakdown. COST: 1 star for the location and what you get, it is not worth approx. 845 a month for a 1 bedroom and so on, when I lived herea year ago it was only about 640 which was really a nice deal. I then had to leave because they decided to raise it 750...now I see the prices are to 845? wow...that isn't including utilities btw so it's more like 880 a month for a 700 sq ft 1 bdrm with a dishwasher which hardly works. Bullard gets PACKED in the mornings and rush hour and the area isn't gated, so it is NOT a 845 a month complex...it is just not... UNIT: 4 star It's clean, spacious, the kitchen is small, but functional, the dishwasher kinda sucks, but the stove is nice, and I like the sink the shower head comes a bit short, the balcony is pretty nice though. AND there is storage for DAYS! I do miss that about this place THE COMPLEX: 3 star First of, it's a REALLY big complex, and they do a decent job of keeping it clean. But also inconsistently. One week it looks flawless, the next there are leaves everywhere...two weeks later they are cutting down every tree in the complex. Second, this killed one of the stars...what is up with the washer deal? three loads of wash will fit into one dryer load because they're so tiny...I always hated that. it always cost me about 5 dollars for 1 load of wash because the washer baskets were TINY...but the dryers were normal sized. Lastly, It isn't gated, which isn't that big of a deal, but you would think that for the prices that these units are going for that this place would be gated...just saying. Not that a gate offers THAT much more security from outside people, but it's the sense of extra safety I guess. I don't know. MANAGEMENT: 4 star They try they're best to be really helpful. Although they're not all that honest about you getting your full deposit back. I cleaned my apartment to the bone, I had the lady check everything and she said, "you'll get you're deposit back." and I OWED them 36 bucks afterwards...Overall they will answer any question you have about anything pertaining to the complex. NEIGHBORS: 4 star Aside from the neighbors having a party ONCE at 3 in the morning on a Thursday...it was pretty quiet. Probably the best thing about the place was the safe feeling of the neighbors. Parking: -5 star Yes...NEGATIVE 5 stars. This is what really always irked my socks living here. there is just NOT ENOUGH parking. YET THERE IS! SOOOOO much covered parking....goes UNPARKED DAY AND NIGHT. Yet so many residents had to park ACROSS THE MOTHER F***ING STREET! Since I was living with someone at the time, it was a pain coordinating. Having company over, never happened, because it was inconvenient. I had two people TOWED from there at 10 pm after they were parked at the curb there for just 30 minutes!!! Does the towing company just park there? It's outrageous and straight asinine! It never did happen to my car, but I DO know of homeless people who just walk up to cars and try toggling the door knobs on the cars at night (since the complex isn't gated) PESTS/RODENTS: 5 Star I leave this on a good note. I didn't see a single roach, or rat. A couple daddy long legs, but nothing else. This place does a good job keeping their bugs out. So the Average is 2.28... If they honestly got their parking problem under check, put up a gate and lowered their prices, this wouldn't be such a bad place and I would consider returning. But as it is, it really isn't worth the price. It's nice, just not worth it. It would be like buying a Double Double for the price of a Big Mac.
I loved living there. My neighbor was awesome. Office was nice and always had fun get togethers for family and kids.
Horrible parking experience ever and it's a norm to find laundry machines not working on a weekly basis. Office will not post anything in regards to broken down laundry machines and no refund either. The machine (laundry card reader) that adds money to your laundry card is often not working. Signs should be posted to who we can contact to fix and get refund.
My roommates and I never had any problem with any break-ins like others may have mentioned (probably because they don't know what neighborhood watch means!). Close to many popular areas (Fashion Fair mall, River Park) and many good schools. Busable to many locations as well, which I love. The staff were very friendly and super flexible! Maintenance may be short-staffed once in a while, but it isn't that bad. They DO have security here that checks in nightly which would probably explains the less, so-called "criminal activity" here. I am moving to a bigger space in a few weeks, and I cannot ask for a better location!
