It's not a bad place to live. There are a few issues but what apartment complex does not have issues? The people writing all these bs drug and crime comments must have been evicted for something they did. We do have new neighbors who are the type of people who will mos likely get evicted.
Pro's: The grounds are well-kept and it is centrally located. Sandra, the leasing agent, is professional and always helpful. Cons: Parking is a disaster, car theft runs rampant throughout the parking lot, the water gets shut off for extended periods of time ALL the time, and not a family friendly environment. I wish I would have read the reviews before I decided to live here for a year. Initially, I was impressed with the fact that management was very "anti-crime." I signed several papers along with the lease papers stating that I would only have a certain amount of individuals in my apartment at one time, I would not use drugs on the premises, and that security was available 24 hours a day. This was all a bunch of bologna. My car was broken into ten times within the first three weeks of living there, and when I asked about security performing checks, I was starting to realize "security" didn't exist. Unbeknownst to me, I lived next to a crack/meth dealer for three months. I obtained the police report because I felt my safety was in danger, and the list went on and on...hypodermic needles in the residence and on the porch, intent to distribute meth and crack, and several other serious drug offenses in apartment 1308. The business office in the leasing office is a joke. Nothing works. Good luck visiting the pool in the summertime as residents feel the need to invite their entire extended family, and management does not enforce anything. Staff are rude and they make you feel like you are inconveniencing them. Don't judge a book by it's cover. They appear to be decent apartments but you will pay for it in the end. RUN!
I lived here for a year and this place is a joke staff was friendly at the beginning and when you need something done it takes awhile. Had very rude neighbors keeping me up at night and waking my kids up during the week call security several times and sometimes they quiet down after the 3rd or 4th time I called and next morning complain to front office and they say they know grrrrr. Went on for several months. Complain about the sprinkler water hitting my car and that never got fixed now my cars have water spots that won't come out and they won't do nothing about it and parking there is never any unless you want to park far away and some cars are like parked for over weeks at a time taking up space. If you have kids make sure you watch them because my kids have seen used syringes near the volleyball court. When they do clean they use a blower which all the leaves and junk are in your patio area or front door if you live on the bottom floor. And when the sprinklers go on make sure you are not in the shower or you will get burned... the hot tub that is a joke as well it is hardly working and things are never done in a timely matter but they are sure to make sure to act like they care and they don't and if you put anything in the drop box heads up they check it only when they want to so they can charge you more money this place is not what it should be.
The Good: Low rent, decent location for the average person with ready access to shopping (not for me; a bit too far from work), I feel very safe there no matter the time of night I might be coming home, I don't hear my neighbors except for the steps (or perhaps gymnastic tumbling passes?) of my upstairs neighbors, near-immediate response to maintenance requests, maintained grounds, management staff are super nice. The Bad: Constant water issues (shut-offs happen often), appliances are outdated and I'm sure inefficient as hell (high electricity bills!), some apartments must have had serious water damage and signs of it are clear in the cabinets. Overall I thought the apartment was fine and I would consider renewing my lease if it were closer to my job.
I lived in this dump with it's rude staff for a long time. When I first moved in the staff were lovely, the property well maintained, the neighbors very nice. About a year later, a new property management company bought the pace and it very quickly went down hill. My new neighbor and her drug dealing boyfriend would play music so loud it would actually vibrate art work right off my walls. I called 'security' an average of two times each week with the most being five times in one evening only to have the the drunk female tenant and her friends flirt shamelessly with the security guard who in then end just asked them to keep it down. As soon he left, the music was blasting again. I kept calling security until they got sick of coming out and finally had to call APD. After all my complaining and threatening to abate my rent, they finally evicted them. Then there was the guy who was beating his girlfriend in the apartment above me-APD came and arrested him after he launched himself off the second floor balcony and tried to run. The moronic maintenance guy, who reeked of pot, used a crow bar to break into my apartment to fix something when they couldn't find they key and damaged the door and tried to blame me for it. The ceiling in my bathroom fell in in the middle of the night due to a pipe leak and the plumber who came to solder burnt the carpet-again, I was blamed. The property was sold, again, to another management company who own it now, First Pacific. They are worse than the last. The staff was incredibly rude, not helpful in any way. The water was shut off on average 2x per week, the fence along the parking lot was kicked in by the drug addicts who hang out in the parking lot of the Kentucky Fried Chicken at night and my car was vandalized. The last straw was when the people above me left their water running and it flooded my apartment and soon after, someone threw a rock through the plate glass sliding door to my patio at 1:30 in the morning. Maintenance REFUSED to come out and at least place a tarp over the door so I had to sit up until day light when they came on duty at 8:00 a.m. and were able to come look at it. The management people couldn't have cared less about tenant safety and instead wanted to know what I did provoke such an attack on my home. If I could rate zero stars I would. DO NOT LIVE HERE. RUN. RUN VERY VERY FAR AWAY TO ANYWHERE ELSE BUT RUN!!!!!
