I wish I could give half a star. That star would only be that this apartment looks much nicer and is more spacious than my previous one. The rent moved up $250 since I moved in 2 years ago without improving $250 in quality There's so much wrong here. First week we moved in, two people in a car were shot and killed. Another shooting later on. In hindsight I don't know why I was deluded enough to stay. Our upstairs neighbors smoke weed often, as with my sister in laws upstairs neighbors. We both complained about it and they didn't say they'd do anything about it. Smoke would often fill my bathroom, making me gag, and as I was pregnant, I detested my neighbors. I once saw a prostitute in our parking lot. Hardly any parking spaces. There is a goose poop minefield (no exaggeration). Maintenence expects you to wait at home 3 days in a row for them to "maybe" show up for an inspection you never asked for because they refuse to set appointments. If you miss opening the door for them you get charged a fee for not being locked at home serval days. If you make an appointment with maintenence they may show up a month later for an appointment you "made" regarding an unrelated issue, while entering without permission. Mind you they WILL barge into your house for maintenence. I've often been caught in the shower and had to make a quick dash before to slam the door on them before they could enter. They will enter your apartment with their shoes on even if there's snow or mud outside. They work on vacant apartments at 8 a.m banging with loud Hammers and saws keeping you awake well blasting loud music. What little work they do is sloppy and unfinished. Unprofessional and not knowledgeable in their field. The staff will take any opportunity to charge you for things on your porch that are not "porch related" whatever that is, even cigarette buds left on your although you don't smoke. Our gas tank didn't work in below-freezing weather and it took them 3 days to fix then they charge us a late fee for rent even though we paid for it once it got fixed. They didn't reimburse us for having to sleep outside of her home for three nights either. When we moved in our ceiling leaks when it rains and it took them several months to fix. Someone came to fix an electrical short and left having "fixed" it even though it still had a short
The employee in this place need training on customer service. Two ladies has nothing to do with taking care of their customer. Only one guy out there trying hard, but the policy if the companies about credit history is not understood by the employee. They run my credit and I got approved, then for them to raise my deposit they told me your prrlevious landlord didn't send us the information the way we want them. They send references and they answered them but the guy said it has to be the way in the paper I sent them, not the way they do it. Now there is no eviction in my file and no late payment. I decided to leave because I'm sure I will have more issue with them. They kept my deposit if $149 cus they couldn't reference the the way they wanted it. I'm sharing this message so everyone out there would now and they hopefully avoid paying anything unless they got everything they needed.
I am a current resident at this apartment. You truly get what you pay for here. Pros - Cheap Cons - They show a beautiful demo apartment. What they give you is run down with old appliances. Maintenance crew is under staffed so many concerns can take a lot longer then they should if not deemed an emergency. Even emergencies can take a day or two in order to be addressed. Issues I have had so far: Washer and drier not hooked up at move in. Evidently this required ripping out part of the wall in order to fix. Dishwasher not hooked up or secured in place. Refrigerator leaking and ruining food. This took a week to get someone to come look and a call to the parent office. This also took 3 trips out for maintenance to finally get a different fridge. AC not cooling. This took 2 trips out from maintenance to realize it was low on free-on. You can hear everything. I can hear every move my neighbors upstairs make. They have a dog and love to yell at their kid a lot at all hours. I have had packages stolen from my door. I have not smoked in 4 years, I received a notice on my door about cigarette butts left on the ground and informed that I would be charged 25 bucks if there continued to be there. I informed the office on this one that I refuse to clean up other peoples mess and they better not charge me for gravity and disgusting people. Today I am being charge 45 dollars because they evidently say that they left me a notification that someone was going to spray. Evidently they say they left this on my door on a Friday or Saturday (I was out of town) There was no notification on my door on Sunday when I got home. The bug guy showed up at 5 PM and said he was there to spray when I said that I had no idea what he was talking ablout he asked if I was notified. When I said I had no idea he was coming he said ok and he left. I got my notice that I owe 45 bucks so I went to the office. When I told them that I did not have a notice they asked how they would have know I was out of town. I said well a phone call would have worked. I was informed that they would have had to call over 100 people. I said ok you say you went to over 100 apartments and put something on their door. She just said that is not a service they provide. as my frustration grew she said I could dispute this with the pest control company. I said they had nothing to do with the notification process. Once I started to get to the point of upset that I cursed I knew it was time to leave before I blew. This place has shady business practices. I can not wait to move out.
with the over all price being as cheap as it is for a 2 bedroom i try not to complain but man where do i get started when i first moved in they started having this huge pot hole problem which wasn't solved until 4 or 5 months later they have number of things i don't like for starters they painted the fridge and tub the steps are crumbling to get to the apartment which is a big safety hazard they are slow to respond to things like ice build up and have not cleaned the outside of the apartment for some time such the gutters as well as the dumpsters consistently are over flowing the parking is also atrocious its very apparent they eliminated space to make more parking spots when even if everyone parks dead center they you cant open your door with out hitting another car and that's if you can get a parking spot close to your apartment as well i received a notice from the rental office about having my bike on my balcony but with no garage and a mostly carpeted apartment why would i have it inside and the maintenance done by their team is spotty at best when they finally get around to you they do a terrible job the paint had stained the carpet near the trim my kitchen light has a short in it and the dishwasher is poorly secured to the counter add the cheap appliances that barely do their jobs and clean dishes or my clothes and sometimes i think i should have never moved here
There is absolutely nothing good to say about this apartment complex. If you think I am kidding, I am really not. 1.) There is a definite cockroach infestation. If you like living with cockroaches, then this is the place for you. This problem only developed a few weeks ago, but management and maintenance have not done anything proactive or useful to remedy this issue. One day maintenance came to our apartment and tried to get rid of the cockroaches, but the solution they used was more water based. How can water kill or exterminate cockroaches? We are not sure about that one. My one friend is deathly afraid of bugs in any form and she was very uncomfortable with the experience. 2.) Maintenance is not a useful entity. One day my oven's display stopped working (i.e. you could not tell if the oven was on or not). I called maintenance to come check on it and they came during when I was not in the apartment. I was gone for the weekend and when I returned, I realized that the oven was on. Maintenance left me a note saying that they checked the oven. However, they obviously did not turn the oven off or fix the display. That is a huge fire and safety hazard to have an oven on the entire weekend. 3.) My apartment had extreme water damage, and the way maintenance fixed it was by painting over the damaged wall. Great solution, right? Wrong. Now the wall is discolored and you can still see where the water damage was. In conclusion, I would not recommend this apartment to a friend or even my worst enemy. The management is very unhelpful and will try to put the blame on you for things you did not do. The maintenance staff is very lacking in terms of skill and overall resources to resolve issues. Lastly, the apartment itself is decent, but definitely not worth all the problems that it comes with.
