Since I have been living here in Woodway Apartments for nearly ten years, I was asked if I could write a review. This is a forum for airing one's complaints, so here goes. The apartments are clean, modern and spacious. The kitchen and bathrooms are bright and equipped with all the modern amenities. There are also garages available on the premises in case you don't want to expose your Aston Martin to winter snow and summer heat. If you prefer to live in an old cramped dump, you won't like it here. The grounds are immaculately kept. There is a jogging trail, an outdoor workout circuit, a doggie park, basketball courts, a kiddie playground, a barbecue/picnic area, and enough space to play some serious frisbee. There is also a swimming pool and a well-equipped gym; in fact this is the best gym I've seen in any apartment and it's better than what you find in most condo/townhome complexes. There is also a projection TV room in the clubhouse, with cinema seating where you can bring your family and friends to watch the Nats lose or view your favorite DVD. If you prefer to live in a cave, you won't like it here. Members of the maintenance staff are friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Most problems are fixed within hours of being reported. If you have a maintenance issue, you can either report it by phone or in person. But be warned that if you choose to report it in person, you risk being greeted by cheerful, smiling attendants who are too eager to keep you happy. If you prefer rude staff who ignore your complaints, this is not the place for you. It's a pleasant walk from here to Lifetime Fitness, Trader Joe's, Giant, several restaurants, and dozens of other stores. You also have convenient access to Rt 28 and Rt 66, which are traffic-free every Sunday morning at 4AM. If you prefer to live in the middle of nowhere, try another location. It gets cold in the winter. It gets hot and humid in the summer. Sometimes it rains and sometimes it snows. If you prefer to live in paradise, I recommend Hawaii. But if you must live in Northern Virginia, this is the place to be.
Its an awesome complex. To counter that 1star review, I lived on the 1st and 2nd floor, the walls and ceilings are not thin at all, and the complex is never dirty, there is a staff that picks up trash rain or shine cold weather or hot weather, so clean is an understatement. I was late on rent once and they gave me the chance to bring it in late w/o penalty. Just like any business exchange, money is supposed to be collected and fees are supposed to be billed when necessary but it is hard to please everyone, so its understandable for there to be at least 1 unhappy customer. Please come and look for yourself!! - That person is full of S**t - verification that I am not an employee .. hahaha
I've been at this apartment complex for the past 5 months and absolutely love it. Cindy Cosic was the leasing consultant that assist with the leasing of the apartment. She was nice and professional. She was happy to answer all my questions. Anytime I've had any service requests, the staff has been super fast in responding. I love that they have an online service request system. This helps with submitting requests after hours when the leasing office is closed. The property owners are really good at keeping the community in awesome shape, especially during snowy weather. If you're looking for a pleasant place to live with a dedicated staff to take care of you, then look no further because your home.
Living at Woodway has been a wonderful experience. The staff are super friendly and helpful, always making sure they get you answers to your questions and concerns. Through the years I have lived in 6-8 different apartment complexes and Woodway is by far the best. The maintenance staff respond quickly and do a great job. The maintenance staff go above and beyond to make sure they clean up after their work so you would never know they were there except for the repairs being completed. Living here has just been a wonderful experience all the way around. To keep it real, I do have to say I wish the fridge was bigger, it's just too small causing more trips to the grocery store for perishables than I'd like. But on the bright side there is a grocery store within walking distance. For me to say it's walking distance, that means it's pretty darn close. If you are looking for a good place to live in Centreville, I would definitely recommend Woodway.
Woodway is a quiet, out-of-the-way complex with great features such as a 24-hour fitness center and movie center, and even a carwash area with a vacuum. I love that they have a park for young children, a walkway for people who like to walk, and even a dog park. It's very family-friendly yet quiet and clean. It is an older set of apartments, but has been well-maintained and looks fresh. The office and maintenance staff are friendly and helpful. I love it!
