Do NOT BELIEVE THE POSITIVE POST MADE IN SEPT, THEY BRIBED RESIDENTS WITH A GIFT CARD, ESPECIALLY THOSE THAT HAVE LIVED HERE A SHORT TIME. WE HAVE BEEN HERE 2 YEARS, WORST MANAGERS EVER, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF ONE, dakota. THERE IS ALSO A HIGH RESIDENT TURN OVER. RECENTLY ANOTHER NEW MANAGER, 5 IN 2 YEARS, STILL HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT, LOUSY MAINTENANCE RESPOND TIME, HUGE LACK OF COMMUNICATION, STAY AWAY, , PHONE MAILBOX IS STILL ALWAYS FULL, EVEN DURING BUSINESS HOURS! OTHER RESIDENTS ARE ALSO NOT HAPPY, WATER IS TURNED OFF WITHOUT ANY NOTICE, TODAY THEY CHANGED THE GATE CODE, THEY SENT A EMAIL AFTER NOON, EVERYONE STILL AT WORK, TO LAZY TO GIVE US A 24 HOUR DOOR NOTICE, SO PEOPLE GOT HOME AND COULDN'T GET IN THE GATE. THERE'S MORE, YOU ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE RENTERS INS, THEY PUT DOOR NOTICES TO PROVIDE UPDATED INFO YESTERDAY AFTER 5PM, TO A LOT OF RENTERS, IN THE MEANTIME THEY BLOCKED ALL ELECTRONIC RENT PAYMENTS, WITH NO NOTICE. THERE IS A SAFETY ISSUE NO LIGHTS IN THE COURTYARD OR POOL AREA. THEY NOW HAVE CHANGED HOURS EFFECTIVE MONDAY, AND SENT A EMAIL TODAY, NEW HOURS 8:30-5:30PM, SO IF YOU WORK 8-5 YOUR OUTTA LUCK, NO WEEKEND HOURS. ITS A TOTAL MESS. HAVE HAD A KITCHEN LIGHT THAT IS BUSTED FOR A MONTH NOW, ALSO A NON-WORKING STOVE TOP. WE ARE CHARGED $3.15 PER MONTH PEST CONTROL TIMES 140 APARTMENTS TIMES 12 MONTHS IS OVER $5,000 A YEAR, WE HAVE BEEN SPRAYED TWICE IN 2 YEARS. THEY PUT IN A VERY NICE GRILL OVER THE SUMMER BUT IT IS STILL NOT OPERABLE. JUST STATING THE FACTS, ITS UNFORTUNATE NICE NEIGHBORS AND GROUNDS BUT .....
Don't believe the positive reviews. Preston Park (and other Fath Properties) have regularly offered incentives for residence to leave positive reviews. Such as a "Win a $50 Visa Gift Card if you write a review on ApartmentRatings[dot]com. Most of the positive reviews should read "be prefaced with "Sponsored content". The reality is Preston Park is a terrible apartment complex and is managed badly. I lived at Preston Park for 19 months. At the end of the first year I (made the mistake and) renewed my lease for seven months and informed the property manager at the time (in writing) that I would move out at the end of the lease. I also submitted a maintenance request to have a leaky sink fixed when I renewed and in seven months they never fixed my sink. You can imagine my surprise when after moving out I moved out I received a notice saying I owed the two month rent for failing to provide 60 days notice that I was moving out. I provided 210 days of notice (it is not my fault you property manger was inept). To add insult to injury I was also told I owed money for damaging the sink (The leaky one that wasn't fixed in seven months). This is on top of content problems with the grounds being poorly maintained and property managers failing to communicate effectively. Bottom line do not move here or into any Fath Property
Management is awesome and friendly as can be. Especially considering all that they have on their plates. But have had several problems with residents and their guests after the office closes. Maybe a security guard would help. Ive had several times that if it weren't for my self-defense training i would have been car jack or robbed. Police said they didn't actually see it and i wasn't hurt that there's not a problem.
Well, it seemed nice enough for the price. However, I moved in July and the air would not cool the apartment lower than 90. Had to live with that for a week with bs excuses from maintenance. The Lady in the office said, "It's summer and really hot outside and she said it was hot in her office." Not my problem... Second, they will tow you at the drop of a hat, residents and visitors alike. I had some paint wear on my hood and they said that I needed to either have my car repainted or get it towed. I had to sell my car because I couldn't afford to have it repainted at the time. 3. Rats or mice=whatever it was. Said they would tell the bug guy when he came in...What? when he came in, that could be weeks! 4.) finally DO NOT BELIEVE them when they said that if you clean your own carpets you can deduct the 50 cleaning fee. That is total crap. I spent the money to rend a steamer and spent a few hours doing it, provided them with a receipt for the rental. A few weeks later I get the move out bill and of course I was charged for it, I left that place spotless and they charged me for a bunch of crap. the staff changed regularly and no one had a clue, even the ones who seemed like they had been managers elsewhere...Fath properties are the worst properties I have ever lived at in my life. I would never live there again.
This complex has the worst management and you least knowledgeable maintenance staff out of any complex I've ever lived in! From day one I knew we were going to have problems when we started having leaks that couldn't be repaired, the pool out front of our apartment was drained, and the management was trying to snoop in my apartment everyday for the first week.
