Worst place to live. the gates are ALWAYS broken. Worst customer service EVER. Totally unprofessional and it's obvious they don't care about their residents. They will give you an attitude when things go wrong even if it's their fault. NO matter how nice you came off about the problem. They charge you for complete BS, even if it is THEIR fault. Oh and the towing here is absolutely ridiculous. I had a friend come park (in a non visitors, in an EMPTY parking lot, middle of the day, FOR LESS THAN 10 minutes) and her car was towed. She wasn't even staying just had to run up and get something she forgot in my apartment. I don't know if they get money for how many cars they tow but it's BS and the front desk people don't care. Only one gentlemen here is worth talking too, his name is Tom. Noisy disrespectful neighbors. And there have been times I have put in service requests and the people never come. Guess they think it's not important. Oh and the way they communicate with you here is leaving letter shoved in ur door where all ur neighbors can see ur business. One time I argued what if the wind blew it away or someone else grabbed the important paper and I would have never known what they put in my door and they gave me an attitude about it like its my fault. Guys Do NOT rent here. It's terrible how bad you can be screwed over and for all the money you pay to live here, you are basically throwing your money away. Someone or something will eventually piss you off bad enough where you consider to want to break your lease.
Pros: big apartment, nice kitchen, & quiet community Cons: difficult property management, front gate ALWAYS broken, occasional foul stench from nearby lake, one trash bin for entire complex, residents do not pick up after dogs (dog poop everywhere!), not enough visitor parking, pool full of strangers on weekends My husband and I lived at crowntree for 1 year, at first we thought this was amazing! The staff was nice, the community seemed quiet. When we were shown around the complex the property manager Natalie up sold the amenities as follows: safe gated community, dog friendly (and poop free) complex, pool & grills, and washer/dryer in unit. The most important thing to me was that the community was gated, at the time I was pregnant and wanted to make sure I felt safe and secure in our home. About a week after we moved in we noticed both entrance gates were wide open, when I approached one of the staff members about it he said they'd malfunctioned due to stormy weather we'd been having and assured me it would be fixed as soon as possible. Almost two weeks passed before the gate was fixed. I let it slide, from that first week until our final week there the gates have been wide open multiple days at a time. I just felt like we were lied to, they sold us on the "safe gated community" perfect for new parents and that never happened. Aside from that we are not dog people (we like dogs we just would not own one) but we were told there were strict rules for residents cleaning up after their pets in all the common areas. Well whenever my husband and I would take our daily walks we would be caught off guard by the smell of poop and nuggets ALL OVER the grass. My husband spoke to one of the office staff members about it and he seemed to just brush it off. This complex is split into two sides (the left side is gated and the right side is gated) each side has about 200+ apartments that all share one dumpster... so you can imagine the overflowing amount of smelly trash that would sit there in the Florida sun. When we signed our lease we were given one parking pass for our one car and told that if the parking pass is not visible our car would be towed and any guest parked in anything aside from visitor parking would be towed as well. Which is totally fine and understandable, when the baby was born our mother in law came on a weekend to visit and parked in a normal parking spot (unfortunately residents were blatantly parked in the six visitor parking spots for or 200+ complex) her car was towed the next morning by a towing company by the name of Universal Tow. When I called the towing company to see if what steps to take to get it removed, the gentleman on the phone was extremely rude and hung up on me! I immediately spoke to Tom at the front office and explained the situation, I told him I realized that it's our fault but they need to reevaluate the visitor parking situation and regulate the rules to maintain those spaces FOR VISITORS ONLY!! I also told him they need to look into another towing company as the one they currently use as terrible reviews on the customer service and some R rated reviews on the male two company workers conduct specifically towards women (you can look up the reviews yourself). I felt like everything I said to him went in one ear and out the other, he said he'd call and look into it and nothing... Finally!! To wrap up what I wanted to be a short review, on Saturdays and Sunday's the poolside would be PACKED with non residents. People legitimately drive their cars through our open gate in the visitor parking near the pool on both sides of the complex. They would also park their cars in the front office spaces and go in to the pool!!! If you don't believe me try it for yourself! I think this is a beautiful complex but the property/office management team are young and eager to get residents in but do not reinforce the rules set in place to maintain a safe, clean community. I would not recommend!
My husband booked an appointment online on a Sunday for visit an apartment overthere, we got the confirmation for our visit and went I there at the time they told us to come. Went all the way from seaworld to there (35min) and the office was close. We call the property management and they didn't know why it was close because it was suppose to be open. Nobody called us for letting us know. This is a very bad start and don't make you feel like they are professional. If their are not able to call you for cancel your appointment I believe the rest of the management is horrible. Will certainly not go again and recommend this place to anybody.
I came here as a visitor and got towed within two hours. In my defense, there wasn't a tow away sign in the lot that I parked in or anywhere within my sight. I eventually saw one on the gate that has been wide open for months now, apparently. When I got here there were no visitor parking spots left but there aren't many to begin with. Needless to say, $135 (cash only) later, I'm mad enough to write a review on an apartment complex I've never lived in but can guarantee I never will.
worst apartment you can ever see, bad customer service, rude manager and front desk, Will not answer phone calls if needed, no reimbursement for any fees caused by their own fault, not responsible for what they are saying. Please don't sign up on this overly priced apartment, it is hardly worth the money and time. Its big and nice when you sign in, but that's the only good thing you will get from it. I have my ac broken randomly for 6 months occurring every week, until it stopped working for two weeks.Apparently the manager thinks that 80 F is the regular temperature for the apartment AC so he thinks that this is not a big deal. I met with other people having this issues as well.
