I have resided here for almost two years. I find the complex to be stellar and pristine. The grounds are immaculate, the residents professional. The senic view overlooking Prestonwood Golf Course is relaxing and serene. I find the access to restaurants and shops just minutes away to be such a convienence. Minutes away from the Addison nitelife, nestled in the Hub of Dallas. This Gated Community is idea for all, Families, and Professionals, it is a diverse mix of people that works well. I am so happy being a Fairways resident, stop by and see for yourself, the staff is professional and courteous. Check out our Pool and Weight room. I really think you'll find this complex to be everything you desire.
I recently moved in and I love my apartment. The staff is friendly and nice. The golf course views are a just beautiful. I like that I am so close to the shopping, restaurants! I would recommend moving here.
This place is the best apartment complex I've lived at in Texas. The view of the golf course is amazing, the staff are cool to work with and the apartment I'm in always gets compliments. The complex is quiet and there are two entrances. Whenever I put in a maintenance request, the work gets done quickly. The area has a ton of restaurants and the grocery store is right across the street with Whole Foods about a half mile away (important for me). I guess some people had problems before but everything's been cool since I moved in about 7 months ago. Management changed... maybe that helped things. I don't know. I'm having a hard time thinking of something bad to say so that's why this place gets 5 stars.
Over priced. Old carpet scam. 3rd floor apartments have high ceilings, but not enough A/C power to fill the room up. Very hot during summers. New managers every week due to being fired or quitting. Managers treat you well until you become a tenant. Gym door lock is programmed to lock the doors at different times through out the week even though they say it is not. Ceilings in apartments leak A/c fluid. Huge hornet problems during summer that they never deal with. 6 am monthly wake up calls due to poor appointment scheduling with lawn maintenance. Hot water will be turned off one day a month for "maintenance" issues. Some nights people will park in your paid parking forcing you to walk from 6 buildings away from your building. Kids using pools until sun up on week nights.
Horrible. I know what you’re thinking. The apartments look fairly nice and the staff is really friendly. I’m sure the staff also told you that they took over in March 2013, and they’ve really improved the community since then. You might think that people who write bad reviews are people who don’t know how to interact with management, or people who pay their rent late, or something to that effect. Perhaps you’ve already moved in and you had no issues with maintenance fixing your immediate problems. That’s all to be expected. More importantly, management will not meet your expectations. Yes, they seem professional and friendly, but of course they are, they want your business. They may say one thing to your face and then do the opposite. Anything to squeeze an extra dollar out of you. You will have plumbing issues. Sometimes you’ll have no hot water, other times you’ll have no cold water, and sometimes the water will get cut off because they spend so much time “fixing it”. You will have parking issues unless you pay a fee of $25 for covered parking. Even then, parking is not ideal. You will be gouged for utilities. Utilities are usually fixed between $150-200. That mandatory $89.99 Time Warner Cable bundle is the worst. You’re still welcome to have your cable/internet service, but you still have to pay for TWC. It’s approximately $18.99/month to throw your garbage bags in the dumpster. There’s a $12.99/month charge for pest control. I pay roughly the same amount for trash valet in my new apartment and there is no charge for standard pest control. You will see the police more frequently than you would like because of burglaries, domestic disturbances, etc. I had to call the police after witnessing a domestic violence incident. You will not like the “resort-style” pool/grill-area because it’s extremely small and nonresidents regularly use it. They simply use the broken gates to enter or sometimes just pull the fire department alarm on the gate for instant access. You will not like the “state-of-the-art” gym because it’s tiny and the machines are not the best quality. Whether your apartment is upgraded or not, your appliances are cheap and you will have issues with them. Maintenance will respond, but it might take months. Or they might come over promptly, realize that they can’t fix it, and return at another time, maybe. Power-washing the parking lot, painting the buildings, and fixing the pool areas do not change the fact that this apartment complex is a dump. You’ve been warned.
