Update: I have now finally moved out of this place and I would suggest to others: STAY AWAY!!!! No matter how good the move in fee is just stay away! New management is disgusting and always late! There's only one of them that works there that is great but the rest are awful! And they will charge you a arm and a leg to "repair" carpet that can be easily be cleaned for less if they would just hire a carpet cleaner but claims there's too much damage which is untrue. They also charged me $140 for a ozone machine because i had pet smell (mind you i do not own a pet) and smoke smell, which I also don't smoke -_- I cleaned from top to bottom and did my best on cleaning the carpet. God forbid I left a few spots b/c I had furniture covering it but now since I missed those few spots They charged me $800. NEVER AGAIN!! Anyway they can get money from you they will! Just a warning! Rent at your own risk. If you do move in make sure you don't touch anything in the apartment or even walk on the carpet b/c they will charge you the slightest little spot they can find when you move out! I can not wait to move out of this place!!!!! Everything keeps breaking, the walls are are painted badly, I can hear every single thing my neighbors say b/c the walls are so thin! My apartment almost got broken into and had a lose door where it is noticeable but instead of replacing the door like I thought they would, the maintenance guy just put a weather strip on the day. When we first moved into the complex, the office did not have our keys ready as they said they would and told us to wait a few hours until they were ready, mind you we had all our things in a truck ready to unload and we couldn't unload any of our things until night time. Dish machine does not work properly. Everything in here is just crap! Thank God my lease is almost up!
First walls are thin very noisy, floors are terrible carpets will poke and cut you, floors are thin and uneven and creek when u walk around, if your not on the top floor it sounds like elephants stampeding. lived for 2 years after the 1st year they raised rent almost 100 a month with no improvement to the place itself. The washer and driers in the laundry building are terrible will make your clothes dirtier, stinky and covered with lint or paper... If the machine even works. Roaches are in the walls cabinets and the Massey exterminator comes out and whatever they do doesn't work... Even when u keep the place clean roaches still appear in numbers. Cabinets fall apart, kitchen counter painted on easy to stain, and when u try to clean them you rub paint off. Office management changed a little before my leaving and was even worse than previous staff, called for two weeks and never got a response even after leaving 2-4 voice mails. The list goes on... Ok place short but would stay there long location is the best thing about it with a close walmart,wa wa, and Walgreens(walking distance). And if u don't mind stoners and the smell of smoke in the air from time to time. A lot of police visits, but also a lot of patrols so it's not too unsafe but wouldn't walk around late at night by ones self. Super close to full sail, kind close to UCF and downtown. Good for a start but bad for the price. Left in November and glad!
Very noisy around my building. Floors are cheap - I don't hear people talking but every footstep vibrates the ceiling above. Mold has been growing in one of the closets for two months, it's been looked at a few times and sprayed with bleach solution once but the exterior water leak causing the mold hasn't been addressed at all -- afraid to see what is behind the drywall. Floorplans are strange - my living room is cut in half by a hallway and doors so that it has very little useful space for sitting/TV area. The lake and screened-in porches are nice but there are too many things wrong with this place for the price point.
If I could rate 0 I would! This place will rip you off! The management is horrible. I paid my rent every month on time, never had any complaints on my end. When I leave I get a bill for $700 in the mail...they decided to change the carpet ( which I regularly cleaned) ..no one wanted to explain anything to me. It was so disappointing.
A few positives about Auver's: -Its right across from Baldwin Park and the Cady Trail is only .25 miles away from my apartment door -The buildings are older so the walls are real with studs which allows you to install things that require some sturdiness -The walls are also resistant to sound more so than the cheaper construction used in the last 5 years -The maintenance people are responsive when you use their system correctly and are friendly -The trees in the village are mature and provide decent shade which helps with cooling bills -The Wawa, Walgreen's, and Walmart Neighborhood Market are a few hundred yards (not that I would support shopping at Walmart because they treat their employees and suppliers horribly) -It is a pet friendly village and so far the other pet owners are responsible and friendly -The structure itself allows for easy, safe exit from your bedroom windows in case of an emergency -The complex only has one entrance which helps with security and they are fairly good at replacing lamp lights so our cars are well lit -Many of the renters are young people, some college students and some families so they tend to be away from their apartment often The one negative that I consider worth mentioning is the lack of a sidewalk along the entrance to the complex. The residents have to walk in the roadway to get to the bus stop or nearby shops which is dangerous. There are future plans for the Cady Trail to push through this village, east to the Little Econ Greenway. The residents of Auver's should support this future connection as it would greatly improve their access in and out of the village.
