My husband and new born son at the time lived here. We were always greeted so warmly by Katrina and becky. In fact they really made the stay for us worth our while. Anyway, everything was great until about four months in we noticed how loud our upstairs neighbors were. It was a family of what seemed like 6 buffalo always stomping. We started to call courtesy patrol and ithe didn't help, in fact it got worse. At times it seemed like our ceiling was going to collapse due to the unruly teenagers above us literally running above. We never got sleep. It seemed like our neighbors had an issue with us living below them because their party buddies got evicted before us. Gee I wonder why. Around 3am you could hear them having wild buffalo sex cause our walls literally shook. You could hear the headboard smashing into the wall. Needless to say the walls are thin. Very very thin. Anyway months of this noise went on, we finally started reaching out to Matt ( who's a pretty chill guy) . We eventually had to contact the manager above him cause it seemed like the threats from the office weren't getting through to THE Buffalos. So they were served with many noise complaints. It still didn't help. One morning one of the Buffalo children decided to come down the stairs and throw snow mixed with rocks at our door. At this point we had had it. We demanded they let us break the lease. They had finally agreed. Although we gotalked to leave a month early I had wished they would of done something alot more drastic way sooner (the office that is) honestly I wouldn't recommend this place just because of how shallow the wall space is for such a hefty price of rent you pay.
This was the worst living experience I have ever had. The people were rude and the apartments are extremely small for the amount of rent you pay. The pool is extremely dirty all of the time. The hot tub is always closed. They had a building burn down while I was living there and they never gave any of the tenants a reason to why the building caught on fire. They then never fixed it and I wouldn't be surprised if it were still not fixed. I had a toilet that would constantly run and clog. I was paying for 2 bathrooms, but was only able to use one. Maintenance would come and "fix it", but I'd be calling the office a few days later with the same issue. They never did fix it. My dishwasher flooded my entire kitchen the first month I moved in and maintenance came in to fix it and flooded my counters and left a huge mess that was left to me to clean. They also add on extra fees after you sign your lease and cannot describe them for you. They are currently trying to bill me for 5,000 dollars because I moved out 2 months early. That is equal to 6 months of rent. There was also close to absolutely no damage to the apartment when I moved out. When I moved out I was told I would be billed for the remaining 2 months, which I was completely fine with. The person who keeps calling me to collect the money is refusing to speak with my lawyer. He keeps calling and harassing me telling me he doesn't believe I have a lawyer, proceeding to laugh at me, threaten me, and then hangs up on me. Then calling me back a few days later to demand his 5,000 dollars. This is by far the most difficult living experience I have ever had to deal with. Think twice before you move into this complex --- or any of Greystar/Riverstone complex.
I've been living here for 4 months and I love it. Very quiet community, clean homes, excellent. :)
We have been living at Mountain Run for the past year and can't wait until our lease is up- We have had multiple problems with our A/C and heater- our A/C would run and the apartment would not get cool; it was like the A/C was bad and it didn't have a good fan to push the air through the vents. AND there is only one vent for the whole living room/kitchen area which is over near the hallway. With the heater, it would run on it's own. We have to keep the thermostat at 80 degrees to have it feel like 70. All the maintance/office did each of the 7-8 times we called them out was either change the thermostat or tell us that we should open the vents more, like we were stupid for not doing that. I even talked to the manager to have him help and he said he would call us after Christmas break to make sure we were taken care of- the heater was never fixed and he never called. Good management skills... Maintance people are REALLY nice, but I think Mountain Run doesn't want to pay the money to change an A/C/heater unit to make a tenant happy. ALSO, the apartment seems like all the problems are just painted over instead of fixed- our doors don't shut right because they have been painted over so many times; our kitchen cabinets don't close all the way because they are falling apart; there are cracks between the carpet and the linolium in the kitchen and bathroom and we have seen and watched all kind of bugs crawl in through there; our front door is off hinge and you can see daylight through the cracks of the door- I absolutely do not recommend this apartment complex... Look within a 2 mile radius and you can find BETTER apartments for CHEAPER.
