My husband and i viewed these apartments within the last month. We liked what we seen, the area was good, and the price (what we were told were good) however the leasing consultant James was very very pushy. At first we were interested in a 2 bedroom townhome, they didn't have any units available to view, and we were hesitant about putting a holding fee down without seeing the townhouse. We left, and he called back about 10 minutes later (because all of a sudden a unit became available for us to view-in very poor condition might i add, however we understood it wouldn't be move in ready) and said that we can view the unit, only if we put down a holding fee today (which we weren't advised that we wouldnt be able to be refunded this money) we ultimately decided that we would like 2 bedroom apartment, and proceeded with the holding fee. James originally told us that our rent would be $847.97 ($925/month with 1 month free divided into 12) when it came down to the price breakdown of what we owed when we moved in, it did not reflect that price. I was concerned, so i emailed James, and he informed me that they couldn't discount a prorated month, which I later found out to be a lie. Mind you, our move in date was 3/3, i would hardly consider that prorated. They tacked on a bunch of extra fees ($30/month for the washer/dryer for example) that wasn't discussed when initially viewed the apartment. The appliances are outdated, and it's obvious the leasing consultants that they have aren't familiar with the grounds. It seems to me like they just lie to get you to put down the holding fee, then everything changes & gets added on. I would rather lose the $100 that we put down then have to deal with lies from this property.
I personally have not had a problem with living here as of yet. Yes there are large water bugs , i have seen them come from under the mulch at night , i have had one in almost a yr. Of being here . The main problem i find here is the pool the way it is run and cared for. And the management. I have not met the new property manager we have as if yet thats because i don't have any need to ho to office , which is a good thing! I will be signing a new lease as i have not had a problem living here.
Pro- Nice size space for an apartment In Fox Hills Area
Close to Supermarket Cons- Insect problem- Huge waterbugs roam rapidly inside and outside of the units
Broken fixtures, cheap appliances, I had maggots in my ice machine took 6 calls for them to finally bring me a new refridgerator. They never replaced the fridge they just put it in the unit next to me. When my new neighbor moved in she had the same problem because it was the same fridge. Towing company tows cars that have permits visible. Mold in areas of the apartttments I've been to four of them and all had mold around the washer and dryer areas. Leaks everywhere. The apartments are old and falling apart. They have an odor to them and the carpets are filthy with old stains that resurface even after cleanings. The management is nice but the property itself is horrendous. For $930 a month it should have more to offer. Save your heartache and rent closer to the colliseum or a more update home. This place is the worst.
I'm current resident and come 8months from now when our lease is up were out of here. Managers don't care. Tell you anything to shut you up. We've been promised a two Bedroom for awhile now and I keep seeing empty units filled up to new residence...its BS. We have cockroaches and fleas my poor animals are suffering. They've been treated. but still find them around the house even after treating the house. I'm convinced its infested before we moved in 4mths ago. And my mom came to visit and got towed. There's so many empty spaces and they're not labeled how was she to know???. $120 later. Do not live here. Look for better options. Which is what we should have done.
