I've lived in these apartments for about 10 months now. At first I loved everything about these apartments. I even referred a coworker who now lives in the complex. Which means I did the Refferal program & just like the comment below it is a JOKE! My coworker has been living here since July & we waited till August just like policy states to submit it. Here it is going on almost till November & still NOTHING. It even got to the point where we were promised a check on a certain day & spent money on other obligations & where left in a hardship because it didn't come as promised. You can never get ahold of anyone & it seems really under staffed. As you leave there's always someone outside waiting while the office is closed, I've seen plenty of people walk away because of the customer service. As far as repairs I can't complain to much. But the customer service really needs some adjustments. I recently got locked my keys inside my home & called the emergency maintenance line & was told I had to wait a HOUR & a half before anyone could come assist. So me & my boyfriend waited outside our home hungry for 2 HOURS! It's clear adjustments need to be MADE!
There's no where near enough parking for as many units there is, we had termites, Kitsia didn't even want to show us where our apartment was or do a full move in walk through because she took too long doing a tour and it made her have to stay after work a couple minutes later than she had planned (oh no! a couple minutes!) and their referral program is a JOKE. I've been waiting on my check since April 1st; it's now OCTOBER. every time I call they tell me it's on it's way and there's nothing else they can do (or tell me) about it and the manager is ALWAYS Out of the office making it nearly impossible to reach him (I've been trying for over 6 months now). Extremely disappointing considering my dad and I use to live there when I was young and it was called Canyon Creek apartments and they were much better taken care of, so I decided to move back on my own and it was problem after problem after problem. Our windows didn't even lock and we were on the bottom floor. Plus, they're extremely over priced for the quality of livin! The only good thing about this place is Shalondra, she will always greet you with a smile and do her best to get you taken care of.
Where do I start? .... The pros... -Spacious apartments! I've lived in two of them and love to have guests over. -Pretty view with lots of trees -Many swimming pools to choose from as well as hot tubs. The cons: -BLACK MOLD (can't even kill it with CLR or any cleaning product) -Mushrooms growing in the guest bathroom (even after treatment) -Noisy footsteps upstairs -Outdated appliances (though Alvista is renovating each apartment but we got the bottom of the barrel) -They raise the rent every year!!! -Termites!!!! (has been a problem since I moved in over 3 years ago) -ALWAYS shutting off the water to perform some kind of maintenance every month -Spiders.... LITERALLY EVERYWHERE. WORSENING CRIME -- A person literally got attacked AND carjacked recently!!! -- My apartment got broken into 2 weeks before Christmas and they stole the living room flat screen, XBOX, family jewelry, along with several items (and we weren't the only ones to get broken into) -- My aunt's van got broken into while parked (Shattered the window and stole skateboards) -- Police have been showing up more often (not surprised at all) -I NEVER see the security car that supposedly patrols the place. -Need something fixed? Well keep calling and calling until someone comes over. We had the toilet reservoir overfill and nobody came to fix it until I went to the leasing office myself and asked a maintenance guy to help us. Same with the mushrooms and termites. THEY. ALWAYS. LAG. Maybe they're understaffed? But they definitely do NOT get to you the first time you call. -THEY KEEP TAKING PARKING SPACES AWAY!! THERE'S LITERALLY NOWHERE TO PARK! EVER!!!!! --The leasing office took it upon themselves to create designated parking spaces for themselves (right in front of 8 apartments!!) --There have already been a decrease in parking spaces due to unnecessary contruction. --Sure walking doesn't hurt BUT WHEN THERE'S A WORSENING CRIME IN THIS VERY COMPLEX I DO NOT WANT TO GET ATTACKED. -I had to take the precaution of carrying a knife with me to defend myself in case anyone tries to run up on me. Overall it started great! But then more cops came, mold showed up, termites wouldn't leave, water keeps shutting off, worsening crime, etc etc.... If it's not one thing IT DEFINITELY WILL BE SEVERAL MORE. WILL BE MOVING OUT IN A MONTH WHEN THE LEASE ENDS.
Been here only a few months. I wish I would have read the reviews prior to moving here. Seen police cars making arrests in the neighborhood several times. Submit countless maintenance requests that seem to get ignored. Nobody ever answers the phone when you call the office. A huge disappointment - wish I would have signed a lease elsewhere. I will certainly be moving the day the lease ends
I've been here for almost two years, and I must say that the amount of rent they charge is too much for the quality of the living conditions, maintenance, and customer service. If you apartment or garage has a problem, expect it to take several days, weeks, or even months for it to be addressed. Seems like you have to threaten to withhold rent in order for them to do anything about it. Cabinet door hinges have been coming off, appliances breaking down, paint bleeding on the bathroom walls (even though I have the vent and both doors opened when showering), kitchen drawers not closing properly, etc. It was heat of the summer and my A/C went out. I called the office immediately and they said maintenance could not address it until the next day. It was unbearable. What if it was an elderly person, or a family with an infant. Totally unacceptable when its over 90 degrees outside. When I first moved in, lights were literally dangling out of the ceiling, and the floor in the hallway was coming up. The apartment wasn't even cleaned very well. I also was trying to get my U-verse set up and AT&T discovered the the phone connection was not operating. I told the property manager at the time and was told it would be taken care of. Almost two years later, it still hasn't been settled. So I had to go with a crappy internet service provider that charges double. The only positive thing I can say about that complex is the landscape is very nice and neighbors are generally quiet. If they try to rent you a 1 bedroom apartment for over $850, it is not worth it. You can get better living conditions and customer service elsewhere for that price.
