I haved lived in Ardenne 2 years now, and the only reason I still do is beacause rent prices have skyrocketed since I locked in my rent rate. The worst part of this place is the manager, he is rude and petty, and downright mean to us residents. When my wife went in to take care of paying rent, he threatend to evict us 3 days before Christmass because he didnt like her additude. Her "attitude" being breaking down into tears because he threatend to evict our family on christmass. He has on other occasions shown his utter lack of professionalism by name calling and yelling at us. I really hope the owners come to thier good senses and put a decent human being in charge of this place. Other than that, the buildings are decent, newer, and updated. And they have evicted some of the "section 8" types that were always causing trouble. So the place has quieted down quite a bit. Ideally I would like to see only employed paying residents here someday. Also the matinence staff is always very prompt, helpfull and polite. Even coming over late at night when our heater stopped working one time (it was very cold!!). So, a decent place to live, except for the rude manager. (Making my wife cry is unforgivable in my book!!) (Edit) the property manager has now taken to sneaking into peoples apartment units without permission or notice when we are out!!! My nieghbor was at home sleeping when he came in unanounced and started snooping thru her place. When confronted he said he believed someone in our building was smoking weed, and was searching for "proof"... UNBELIEVABLE!!!!
I SERIOUSLY don't recommend this place to ANYONE--not even low income families. The living conditions are HORRIBLE--everything from bed bugs, to gangsters bumping loud music to prostitution at all hours of the night. This place is nothing more than a tax write-off for the owners. Don't even get me started on the apt complex manager--he's a real sack of sh!t, and that's put nicely.
If you like loud noise, the smell of pot 24/7, children running around late into the night without any supervision, loud trashy neighbors, passive aggressive management, and damage to your furniture by the maintenance team, this is the place for you. I lived here through the transition from Peakview Apartments to Ardenne Apartments. The management at Peakview did a much better job. All Ardenne cares about is taking care of the exterior (e.g. painting and remodeling). These efforts misguide you on how your actual living experience will be. I thought after college and grad school, my standard of living environment would go up. This place is horrible. I cannot believe how much they charge here for what you get. If this place is your last resort, DO NOT GIVE MANAGEMENT PERMISSION INTO YOUR HOME WITHOUT YOUR PRESENCE. I came home one day to a weird looking mark on my expensive dining room table. It was a decent-sized scratch intentionally filled in with a blue pen. The fact that they tried to hide it was a huge disappointment - the cherry on top of everything else. When I contacted Matt, the Property Manager about the situation, his response SEEMED genuine and concerned. He had some questions of which I responded to and he NEVER got back to me. The fact that the property manager doesn't get back to you and pretends to care sums up the attitude of the management team. The leadership is completely unprofessional and does not exercise any discipline when necessary. So if you are loud and obnoxious, let your kids run around without any supervision, and like that management let's you get away with all of these things, this is the perfect place for you - TRASH.
One of the only things I miss about Denver is this apartment!! Not only was the price reasonable, especially for a luxurious apartment (as the price of living in Colorado is increasing like crazy), but it was beautifully laid out and cozy. I only had one maintenance issue, I put in a request online and it was taken care of immediately. I see all these reviews about loud noises and the smell of pot but honestly I never had any of these issues when I lived there. I would recommend this place to any of my friends/family that are looking for a reputable apartment complex. The only time people feel the need to review is to complain, so I will share my POSITIVE experience! Thank you, Ardenne team for the wonderful experience! Much appreciated :)
I have been a neighbor of this complex for many years. In that time I have had more garbage fly into my yard than I care to remember. But I did not address with them because it was petty. But it seems that the management takes great offense at petty things when it suits them. I am having an old fence rebuilt before I move away and some random timber was left on a small hill on their side of the property. The timber damaged nothing and did not block traffic on foot or with a car. Yet the property manager came over to my house and rang the doorbell three times in about 20 seconds. He then shouted at me demanding that the wood be moved at once and that if any damage happened to his sprinkler system that I would pay for it even though I was not the one to “damage” it. He then went on a rant on how he was going to tow the van of the fencing crew and was nothing but toxic before he stomped off in a rage. I am moving away from them shortly it can not be soon enough as far as I am concerned. This is how their management treats their neighbors, people they have no power over and have no contract with. I dread to think on how they treat their tenants. If you are looking for a place to live where you are respected by the owners then I recommend you avoid Ardenne Apartments like the plague. But that is just my opinion and experience. Cavete emptor, buyer beware.
