From previous reviews, it seems like the management has changed and things have improved. I've had an overall good experience here. I was moving from out of state and Corinne worked with me to get me a lease and finalize it while I was still out of state. She even received my car for me here when I had it shipped from out of state! This despite a mess-up on my part, which resulted in the car having to be sent to Chicago and then brought back to Tosa on a second occasion. Corinne was around both times to help with the car and many other things besides. When I moved, she met me at the property after hours to hand me my keys and give me a full tour of the premises. I've had a good experience with Abby as well who knows me by name and with the maintenance staff. I've recently had a big maintenance emergency well after business hours and was able to get the on call maintenance guy. He came out promptly, fixed my issue, repaired all the damage that had already happened by that point and came back the next day to replace a broken appliance. He was very nice through it all, too. The fitness room is well maintained, I've not once had an issue with a broken machine or TV, same with the computers and printer in the business office. The rec room was recently redone, so now it has cute couches and bar stools and fun music playing during office hours. Management organizes socials for the residents about 2-3 times a year (BBQ around the pool, breakfast on the go). I think the noise level really varies based on the building and neighbors. My building is generally pretty quiet except some nights when people decide to talk late in the hall or when next door neighbors are having a party- like you'd get at any apartment complex. I got used to the train about two weeks after moving here. Overall, I'd recommend this place if the price is not prohibitive for you.
I can't figure out if it is the owners, or the new managers who are amateurs. They have no clue how to run an apartment complex or treat tenants (it's all downhill after you've signed the lease). Stay well away.
I like living here but the gate outside attracts the kind of people that live in a "pet-friendly" building with no dogs and then complain to management about dogs barking.
I don't even know where to begin with this place! Everything was great until they received my money, then two days before I wanted to move in they called to inform me that my apartment wasn't available. My only option was to upgrade for more money, I had no choice. Then the property manager, Jessica, must have been hired from trailer park. The way she conducts business is extremely unprofessional. As far as the pricing..way overpriced! I am paying just as much and I'm living downtown in an EXTREMELY nice condo that has way more ammenities. As for their amenities, don't expect stuff to be fixed for periods of years. The printer was broken, tvs broken, treadmill was broken, and all took so long to get fixed I ended up just joining a gym and buying a printer! And I don't know how happy StarBucks coffee would be knowing they keep advertising their coffee as that! Oh and to top it off, I've been out of there for months and Jessica refuses to return phone calls and give me back my deposit money! This is just a little bit of the reasons why I did not like that place! Consider yourself warned! If your wondering why I even moved in, I wasn't familiar with the area and it was close to the Hospital at which I work...big mistake
If you want to pay an outrageous amount of money for a glorified dorm, this is the place for you. Rent goes up every year, while quality of apartment complex goes down. Property managers only return your calls when it is convenient for them. (when they aren't on another cigarette break) Do not expect amenities to be fixed in a timely manor. They do not keep on top of people who have dogs (weight limit or feces clean up) Pool is *freezing* cold.. definitely NOT heated! Train across the street wakes me up every hour. Snow plow in the winter is EXTREMELY loud in the middle of the night. (Trucks beeping, sounds like car crash every time they lower the plow) Gate is always broken. If you get home late good luck finding a parking spot. Exercise equipment is always broken. Printer/computers are always "out of order." My overall question for the Reserve is where is my rent money going????
