Everything is run super efficiently. The updates about rent are so helpful with a busy schedule and payment is easy as well. They always have great answers for me when i have questions! So friendly all the time!
This place is a scam and a complete rip off. Assholes landlord and office associate. They put all their money in building the entrance and the hallway to fool you on the tour. The rooms are terrible. If something is wrong with your place you will experience the worst customer service. RUN AWAY!! NOW!!!!!!
To all students and parents that are interested in the Stadium Village Flats Roommate Match Program, DON'T LET THEIR ADVERTISING FOOL YOU. They tried to put a NON-STUDENT with a 6 MONTH OLD BABY in the other room in my apartment. Where is a 6 month old baby going to be bathed in an apartment that has no bathtub?! There isn't even enough room in the bedrooms for a crib! They also say that Stadium Village Flats "sends out contact information for potential future roommates very early in the rental process", but THEY ARE LYING. I NEVER heard anything about that person until they had already signed a lease. Stadium Village Flats DOES NOT CARE about you as a student; all they care about is filling as many units as possible with anyone who can fork up the money. Google an article titled "Defining Student Housing" from the Minnesota Daily. It explains my whole debacle with this slumlord apartment and how they handled the situation by stonewalling me. Since the article was published, they changed all of the wording of their advertisement on their website, thus acknowledging that their advertising was inappropriate and misleading! I was lucky when the person with the infant defaulted on the lease, but that doesn't change the fact that Stadium Village Flats had EVERY INTENTION of putting her in the apartment and putting my semester in jeopardy.
Amenities do not meet expectations. Poor quality materials and appliances. Poor office hours. No security. Stadium Village may look nice on the surface but in reality this apartment building does not deliver. First, when my roommate and I toured the place we were shown a large bedroom in a single bedroom unit. We were planning on moving into a two bedroom unit. We were told the bedrooms were the same. They are not. The bedroom we share now is absolutely tinny. Second, the amenities may seem appealing but the party room hardly ever gets used and the sound system was broken when we moved in--yet to be fixed. The pool room lacks cues, the printer in the study room jams every 20 minutes if it works at all (not an exaggeration in the slightest), the yoga studio doesn't open until 10 am and closes again at 9pm (they said they would fix it as it is supposed to be open much earlier and not close until later; they haven't) and the floor of the yoga room, which gets pretty nasty from personal observation, is seldom washed or even swept. The work out room is intact but is clearly visible from the street and sidewalk so you had better enjoy an audience. It also does not contain weights, only a few treadmills and elliptical. About the only room that does everything it’s supposed to is the theater. Third, they just love to fine their residents because apparently paying such exorbitant rents just isn't enough. A friend threw up water (she had been working out) in the hallway and cleaned it up herself. They fined her. We accidentally put cardboard in the trash room instead of bringing it down to the dumpster. Fined. Have someone over more than six time over the course of your lease? Fine. Try and fix the printer because it has jammed (yet again)? Fine. The office hours are highly inconvenient for the vast majority of students. Cues for the pool room must be rented out-although they are terrible quality and hardly worth preserving-however the office closes at 6 or earlier. Similarly, the printer-as I have mentioned-is continuously broken but most of the time no one is around to fix it. The free tanning is fairly accessible because of the limited office hours. Finally residents must often wait until the next day to get packages in the mail because it arrives so late and the office closes so early. The garage door breaks frequently. In fact the whole building is made with poor quality materials and appliances. The garbage disposals can hardly handle an orange peal and break frequently. The toilets also break frequently. Residents must also buy their own lightbulbs but are not supposed to install them on their own. By the way, there are some pretty funky light bulbs that are fun to hunt down replacements for. Security is a mess. The side door can be pulled open easily. There is no security guard at the main door 95% of the time. In fact I didn’t see one there for months until they started signing leases in the spring and needed one for appearances. It is easy to piggyback in with other residents and once you are past the main doors you have access to the entire building via the elevators. And finally, there are bedrooms without windows. Pretty sure that was illegal from tenement building reform back in the 19th century. I will say that the staff is generally very nice and the location is excellent but over all, these apartments are not worth the rent they ask for, even when shared.
I love my apartment, but wish we didn't have to go get light bulbs. I don't care if you charge my rent for the light bulb, I just want lights in my kitchen haha. :)
