This station, along with all the other New York fire departments, were many of the first responders during the September 11th World Trade Center attacks. Many of the firefighters from this station lost their lives that day trying to save others.
This mural is just one of many that can be found throughout Port Morris, but this one has a special meaning. It is painted on the side of the #PortMorris fire station and is dedicated to all of the brave soldiers who risked their lives for others on September 11th.
