Theses aren't terrible apartments but there are several things that need improvements. I stay because I have a Rottweiler and he is allowed here. It is centrally located as well which is convenient. My main issue is with the noise and lack of response from management. My downstairs neighbors vibrate my floors with their surround sound system every night waking my toddler most nights. I have made complaint calls everynight and aattempted to make contact with the neighbors myself but they can't hear me knock. The kitchen is very small with basically no counter space and the windows and doors (sliding and front) all leak bad enough if you don't put plastic on them your energy bill is outrageous. There is one maintenance guy who is very nice and helpful but management needs some work both with costomer service as well as people skills.
These apartments are great! They are actually affordable which seems to be a struggle in Reno now. I have lived here for about a year and the only downfall is the lack of kitchen countertop space and washer/dryers in the unit. Both aren't the worst things in the world so I'm a happy camper. The maintenance is fast to fix stuff, my neighbors are all pretty nice, and I've never seen any kind of bugs in my unit other than the occasional spider. Its also in a great location because you are next to basically everything. I recommend this place to anyone looking!
DO NOT MOVE HERE. Afer three years of hell, it's time to get out. Sec 8 is now moving in. Dog Shit everywhere. More than two people in a one bedroom apartment. If you have more than one car, forget about trying to find parking. Manger is a witch with a capital B. Office girls Trish & Carla thinks they run the office, and Carla looks like she is going to a wake wearing black all the time. Apartments are old and bug infested with spiders, and earwigs, and pill bugs. Pretty bad when you can hear your neighbors pissing and screwing. Look else were for a place to live. Oh yeah, laundry rooms are really bad. You have to find a clean washer without pot seeds and baby shit.
Nice campus with 2-swimming pools (1-heated), barbecue area, BB & tennis courts, and a fitness room. Convenient to the Mall and the public bus station at the mall. I think this complex was built about 30-years ago, so one issue is that water is turned off occasionally to repair underground pipes, and in the winter, it's best to run a facet so the pipes don't freeze (the apartment company pays for water, sewer & trash). Under the pet-friendly policy, there are lots of dog owners here, which means random dog poop, and often barking and howling dogs of the owners who seem not to care about disturbing others. The manager does try to minimize the dog disturbance problem, but as soon as one dog owner complies, and new dog owner moves in and has to be educated as to why barking / howling dogs are not everybody's cup of tea. So if your tolerance for noise is low, you may want to find a dog-free apartment complex. Anyhow, I give the place a 3.5-4.0 rating -- and keep hoping that each new neighbor doesn't own a barking/howling dog.
Bug infested and managers are extremely rude and unprofessional.
