the place is great, safe, clean, and the staff is awesome!!!
Maintenance and upkeep are done routinely, the staff is helpful when you need them. Community is what it is, friendly people.
I lived at this apartment complex for 1 year. I would have stayed longer if I had not had to move for career purposes. The staff is very friendly and they make sure you are happy with your apartment. If you receive any boxes by mail, they will not leave it at your door, but at the office. This way they make sure you will receive everything you’re sent. The maintenance crew is very efficient and accurate. They will complete any work order promptly. It is a gated community, which I always look for. You’ll see a guard watching over the complex during the weekdays. The entrance/exit gates are by a not-so-busy road; so going in and out is pretty smooth. This is the perfect location! You have innumerable restaurants, shops, doctors and parks around. Highway 6 is just right there! Just 25 minutes to downtown Houston (depending on the traffic, but that's expected). If you work close (Stafford, Sugar Land, Missouri City) there will barely be traffic. I totally recommend Lakeland Estates!
When I was looking for a place it was between this place and a smaller same rate apartment, I did see the review about the bad management but I did not think it was this bad. This past weekend was my first and it was horrible nightmare!!!! First they had the wrong guys criminal record for by boyfriend so we almost did not move in. Second, we had been debating about bringing in my pet so we let them know that we MIGHT bring a pet and all they said we needed to do was pay for deposit. Well last minute they tell us we need vaccine paperwork from the Vet etc. 3rd thing is that we get a non-working remote for the gate 3 TIMES!!!! We have to go out in the heat to try to make sure that it is working because they wont get up and do it themselves. They also fail to mention that we can open the gate with a personal code, when she finally lets us know, well guess what? The code is invalid!!!!!! Between all of this she is arguing with me (very very bad customer service and manners) that she has emailed the manager(this is Saturday when no one is working) and that is all she could do!!! I have been with out a remote for 3 DAYS NOW!!! She tells me just I can wait for someone to come in the gate and I could be able to get in that way. So I have to stalk someone and wait so I can get into my own home!!! I hope they get this issue fixed today. This is the most horrible experience to have for my first place. I hope this nightmare ends and I wont have to deal with the horrible management here. I should have listen to the bad management reviews…….
