There was a time this was a decent place to live but over the last few years it has deteriorated into a slum. I've been here for 14 1/2 years and it's time to get out. Since the building was sold to out of town owners (I think New York but I'm not sure) nothing works and nothing gets fixed. There is always at least 1 elevator broken and no one in management thinks that needs attention. All of the equipment in the exercise room is broken and even the manager has given up hope of having it replaced. I'm looking for a new place now and I would urge you to stay far away from this place. 1 star is to high a rating for this place.
Very nice! It has a very nice interior and has a convenience store (similar to Turkey HIll) inside as well as a barber shop, restaurant, laundry, daily breakfast buffet, 24hr fitness center, lounge with tons of movies, and a sun deck. You can take care of all of almost all your needs and never leave the building! There is a nice community among the tenants. Plus it is affordable. Unfortunately when I talked to the lease office staff they told me they were booked full and there was a 1-year waiting list to get in, I can understand why but you could lose your job in the mean time before you get in to this place!
Hallways are hot, one elevator is always broken. Rooms are pretty big and okay priced. They have a $200 room change fee even if you have fulfilled contract. There are spiders everywhere, luckily my cat hunts and kills bugs. Front desk Levern is very nice. AC is old and not thermostat controlled, just manual settings. Heat is included, but controlled by management, so in the winter, I have to crack the window, or sometimes, it is freezing in the transition time. Pretty good parking, but the gate sucks and cards hardly swipe.
like living yer. close to downtown and capital letters.
I would like to thank the staff/management for making my living here so enjoyable. This must be the best building I have lived in in the last 30 years. I was away on business when my wife (for the first time) had to take care of all the arrangements by herself. The staff was there to guide her through the process very quickly. She wanted to surprise me with everything being moved in by the time I finished my business in AZ. Cable and amenities were all in place by the time I arrived. I feel the building is very accommodating with its Barbershop, Gym and restaurant. Even though there are other shops here, these are the essential ones to me. Yes, someone was teasing about older people living in the building, like me, 55 years young. But, there are a lot of those 'baby-boomers' and young people living here too, a nice, diverse environment. Plus, the location downtown is fantastic.
