I have been living in these apartments for over a year. I will be moving out in the summer. This place is not a place you want to raise a family. The prices have went up and it is not even worth it. My apartment looks like it is going to fall apart. I hate it here and cant wait to move out in the summer. People with dogs allow their dogs to poop anywhere, even in the parking areas. I hate walking to my car and seeing someones dog poop left. There are also so many cats running around. It's very noisy late at night. I havent seen any patrol in months. I use to see them very often. The only reason why I stay is because it is almost the end of the school year. Once my child is out of school, WE ARE MOVING!!!
I moved in july 2014. this is just a place i use to sleep store my shit and get ready for work. its a "spot" im 22 i drive trucks and i could care less about what everyone else wines about, someone breaking into your car? get an alarm. smh its that simple. i have over $1000 in stereo equipment in my car with untinted windows and havent had a problem thanks to my alarm and how close i live to the office i guess. the parks is a cool place to live if youre young and really dont give a shit. my rent runs about 700 for a one bedroom thats with the utilities. my light bill is about 56 bucks and $25 renters insurance. i dont have a car note my shit is paid for so im chilling. just sitting back saving money. i make bout $1000 a week so its really not that bad. i dont recommend raising a family in an apartment complex tho.
I have just moved into this and only been in the apartment for 1 day. First I was shown an apartment that was really nice with new cabinets. I was told that all the apartments have new cabinets. Well I moved into the apartment on Friday evening, after 5; once we were moved in (not unpack yet). The roaches started to come out from everywhere. The cabinets are really old to the point I had to go buy some mates to put in the cabinets, which I still have not out my dished in. I had to go buy roach spray and roach bomb to bomb the apartment. It is so nasty to know that there are roaches running in the apartment. I don't even want to cook in this apartment. I told the office I wanted out of the lease because I was lied to, they told me I have till today to turn in keys to be able to get out of the lease. I have no where to go I just moved here from Austin, Texas. I don't have no where to go or any where to stay. I can't say how everything is because I just moved into the apartments on 08/29/2014. Please think twice before move into this place..........................Make sure you see the actual apartment you will be moving into before you move in. I am ready to get out of this apartment but I will not have any where to go.
When I first was looking at this complex, I was on site looking at a specific unit, decided to move in and while preparing the paperwork and paying the deposit in the office, someone online had sent in their information and reserved it. The staff assured me that they would give me the apartment instead of the person online. 2 weeks later they informed me that I wouldnt be getting that apartment and that I had to take a different one. I then chose another apartment and was quoted a price, a week later I was informed they couldnt give me that one either, but that they had one in the next building over but it was 50 dollars more a month, I went into the office to talk to the staff and they told me management would give me the third apartment now for the quoted price and not 50 dollars more. This was done a few days before the move in date so I couldnt go look at the apartment itself because I was told it wasnt ready. I moved into the new apartment and was shocked to see how crappy the place was. The cupboards look chewed on and at least 20 years old, there are gaps in the bedroom and front doors, hot water still takes forever to come out of the tap, the thermostat has broken a couple times, the closet shelves are all warped and the apartment above has 3 small kids that run around their apartment all day long, sometimes even at 4 in the morning. The noise from above wasnt too bad until a couple months ago when they decided to install wood floors, now I hear everything from the apartment above. About 2 months after I moved in, someone decided to cut the catalytic converter off my car, informed the office and was told that it happens. People that dont live in the complex come over and use the pools, tenants walk their dogs around and dont clean up after them, people screaming at each other outside in the parking lot at 2 or 3 in the morning sometimes. There are people constantly going through the trash, think they only have one security patrol and thats only at night, the area has gone downhill quite a bit, which is too bad since its a nice area with lots of stores really close. The traffic getting to the 20 is really bad in the morning/evening on weekdays. The staff sent me a lease renewal which raised the monthly rent 50 dollars, which when I asked before I moved in they said they would not do. Overall it has been a wild ride at the Parks, if you dont mind overpriced apartments in a high crime section of a low crime area according to Neighborhood Scout, then this is the place.
Only one word "horrible". All the good reviews on here are made up & put on here by the staff acting as residents, DON'T BE FOOLED!!! :-(
