Management are thieves and misrepresent just about every aspect of the community and their leasing terms. Apartment themselves are of horrible build quality. The pool is very nice the couple months a year it is open. The gated community is more of a pain than good.
The apartments are old, appliances old and worn out, carpet is old and worn, sinks are stained. While the grounds used to look nice they're trashy now... The fences are in dire need of repair, the landscaping between the apartments in a lot of areas has died, the sidewalks are cracked and in some cases are easy to trip on. They recently hired Blue Sky roofing to replace the roofs now there's nails, pieces of gutter, shingles, tar paper... oh and roofers cigarette butts, roofers food left overs all over the place. When it snows the ice builds up on the north side of the buildings and is very dangerous again easy to fall. This is a gated community which requires a pass for entrance... management recently instituted a $30 charge if you don't have your pass to gain entrance to your own apartment. This used to be a nice place to live but between poor management and extremely high rent $1,620 a month for a 2 bedroom we can longer appreciate this as a safe and pleasant place to live.
Nice gym. Bar is cool. That's where it stops. Just like the other reviews I will second that the units are worn out, old and management staff unreasonable. Specifically I want to mention a policy that's in place. If a resident arrives at the front gate and does not have their community pass they charge you $20 bucks to get into your own community! Seriously?! I bought a new car and didn't have my pass as it was mounted in my old car which was at home. $20 bucks down the drain or they will turn off our electricity and water! No discussion. No exception. Very utilitarian. There are many other places to choose from...choose a different one.
I have been living here for years. Manager Mike at Blue Ridge has a genuine respect for his residents. Always have been treated promptly and accommodating when an issue arose.
The grounds maintenance is very pretty, however that is all this property maintains. In winter, they plow the roads, but that is all. There are several places the road slopes or declines, which need to be treated. I slid on an decline going less than 15mph and did over $4,000 in damage to my car. It was my first accident in over 39 years. My car went over steps and I almost flipped over a retention wall. When the tow truck arrived, he had trouble stopping and so did three other cars who tried to stop and help. Later, when my car was being repaired, another car was in the shop from Palomino Park and all four tires had damage from sliding on ice. The mechanic said eight years ago he lived at Palomino Park and left because they did not maintain the roads in winter. I also witnessed someone slowly coming down a hill and slid straight into a garage. When I reported my accident to Nicky at the main office, her first comment was, "you damaged a fence". It did bend the fence slightly and it needed touch up paint. I addressed the issue about the ice and she told me I was probably speeding and she drove that area just fine. She mocked me, refused to give me their insurance information and chuckled that she "wasn't afraid of me or me going to their corporate offices". This is the same woman who was trying to win some award for a Manager of the Year and had the main gate hand out little cards to everyone coming in the gate to vote for her online. Two guests of mine got them and had a good laugh. I lived in Green River for two years. You must pay for trash pick up yet there were times my trash was not picked up for over a week. The Manager never follows up or responds back to many of us. On one occasion she gave my information to my neighbor who left a note on my door. What we discussed was a private concern and was not to be shared. Many of my neighbors have had it with this manager and many have complained. Obviously the Corporate Office condones this behavior because she is still there. The apartment is old and so is the carpet for the outrageous price. I would recommend looking elsewhere.
