There is pretty much nothing good to say about this place. Here was my experience: I was in a newly "renovated" apartment. -The hot water is shut off a minimum of twice per month, and usually more. It was off twice a week for three consecutive weeks at one point. -They advertise many things they do not actually have: The gym is so outdated, they keep it locked and you have to request a key- and the staff warns you about the equip. They show three pools, but only two are in service- they close ON labor day, and open late summer. They are both closed every Monday, and often closed during the week for "maintenance." There is NOT ONE SINGLE BASKETBALL COURT WITH A NET. And all of the courts are cracked up concrete, absolute disasters. The "nature trail" is old, unfinished pavement. -I pay entirely too much money for the space- the parking lots are over-over-over-populated and falling apart, the people there are often trashy and there are police there AT LEAST once per day. -"Renovated" means absolutely nothing more than laminate floors- and I mean NOTHING more. There are tacks in the carpet and doors that I step on, the appliances are old and have fallen apart on me more than once, the doors get so jammed I have to have my boyfriend open them because I can't with all my weight against them- and I am NOT a weak female. -Maintenance and management is literally the worst I could have imagined. In Texas heat, my air conditioner (and the AC units are from the 60's- NOT NEW AT ALL) went out, and it took them A MONTH AND A HALF, three maintenance men, and over ten phone calls to finally get it fixed. One of the maintenance men even shut off my electricity, and spent fifteen minutes with me arguing over whether or not I had paid my bill! -The water bill will increase and increase until it is ridiculous. I am ONE person in the apartment, with no washer and dryer, I do the dishes twice a week- my water bill from them last month was $75.00, my prorated water bill for my last month (I will be there for thirteen days total) was $60.00! This has been the worst living experience I could think of. I would never recommend this place, for anyone. I have been miserable, I have even cried several times just regretting my decision. Save yourself the misery, find a better place!
My boyfriend and I feel like we really dodged a bullet by not moving in here. The staff will not answer a question directly, and will not call you back. The manager Georgia is an absolute nightmare to deal with. We are currently looking to move, and need a place pretty quickly. The prices here seemed a little high, but we thought we were going to get a really big apartment, so could justify it. When he went in the first time, there were to 2 leasing agents in the office, with loud music playing. He asked what was available, and Marie showed him one apartment (not even the floor plan we wanted, but was the closest to the office) and while he was looking at the upstairs, she stayed downstairs and was on her phone the entire time. Still we decided that we would apply because it was available. He told her at that time that he was going to be the lease holder, and that I was going to be an occupant. He went back the next day to drop off the money order and applications, and advised them AGAIN that I was to be an occupant only. He went back a 3rd time to drop off the deposit money order. I called and was told they were working on the application, and that they would let us know when they found something out. I wound up calling one other time to find out the status, but also to make sure that I was listed as an occupant only. I was told by Marie at that time that she was sure that was how the application was submitted, and that they were only running a criminal background check on me. She also told me at that time they they did NOT need any financial information from me, because my boyfriend made enough money for everything to be in his name. The next day they called and left my boyfriend a message to come pick up the $300 money order for the deposit because the application was denied. I immediately went to look at my credit report, and sure enough, they had run my credit, with no form of identification from me provided, or my permission to do so. I called and tried to explain that I felt the reason that the application was denied was because they made a mistake and put me on the lease as well. She was very rude and said that she would have Marie look at it. Of course, we didn't get a call back. Saturday we went to go pick up the money order and all 3 of them were in the office with the door locked (outside of their posted lunch hour) and she literally let us in, tried to hand us the money order and rush us back outside. I tried to ask again and explain that there was a mistake, and she said "you were denied. we're not obiligated to tell you why" I told her that I understood that, but that if this was an error on their part, then it needed to be rectified, at which point she said again "you were denied. we run credit on everyone who submits an application" I explained again that we specified 3 times what we were asking for and were told all 3 times that was the way it was being done. The kicker was when she was literally herding us out the door and said "if he didn't meet the financial qualifications, then you would be denied" and got extremely disgusted because I told her that was NOT the case, and they didn't even have my paystubs to verify my income, so that was not accurate information. I will be contacting Corporate, and was going to file a complaint with the BBB, but they have an F rating and are non-compliant with them. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this hellhole. We basically gave them $140, but have agreed that this was a small price to pay instead of being locked in a lease, and living in a bug/rodent infested apartment with random water cut-offs (based on resident reviews) and dealing with this tyrant.
Don't move here if you like water. Have lived here since last May and every month our water has been cut off at least once. During the winter months it's been about once a week. Yet we still pay a flat rate for water and nobody has offered to reduce it. Also, we pay for pest service but asked someone to come spray so they brought a bottle of raid out. That was the extent of pest control. All three pools were closed most of the summer. Do not live here.
If I could give them a negative score I would. Every since the management changed two years ago, these already bad apartments, have gone to cr@p. You can't get anything fixed. There are bedbugs in the apartments. The office staff is rude. I am moving ASAP trust!! The hot water is off all the time, especially during the winter. There is no where to park if you get home later than 7PM.
Parking sucks and is nearly non-existent. There are DOZENS of covered spots open (and there are NO covered spots anywhere near my apartment so why the hell would I want to PAY for parking that's far away?). Frequently arrive home after 10 to find that I have to park across the street and then walk over; something I do not feel safe doing as a woman alone. Completely unacceptable. Had absolutely no trouble finding parking before they started charging for covered.
