Not the greatest apartments and maintenance is slow at best unless it's a bigger issue like a clogged drain or substantial leak. It's much cheaper than surrounding apartments though--especially for the space inside.
Initially I left Oxford West ambivalent, but when they nickel-and-dimed $50 of my deposit; I found that same sour flavor characterized my entire stay at this overpriced and droopy complex. Upon moving in, I was hastily pushed to sign an overly complex lease agreement. This lease is a document that OxWest enforces at their leisure. They do not enforce parking policy, nor do they enforce their black mold policy. However they adamantly charge for heat-stained drip pans and the return of their laundry charge card (a card you must purchase). At all times of the year, the complex is littered with furniture that has been slashed and discarded. All of the amenities listed on their website: Wi-Fi, laundry room, on site staff, coffee shop, game room, lounge- these are only available during strange hours when they staff the coffee bar. The coffee bar hours are inconsistent and rarely kept, at one point last year they were something like Mon, Wed, Fri from 8-10am and 5-8pm. The rent is about $100 too high. The apartments are dark and poorly painted. The positive side is that the place is close to the grocery store. I would go on but the bottom line is that if you want to live in Oxford, visit there first and find a house or smaller complex to rent. You will save money and you won't have to deal with a place like Oxford West that takes advantage of people who need to move in quickly from far away.
