I've been living here at the Village at the Timbers for about 4 months now. I really like the way they support the student community with free breakfast on Fridays and welcome back BBQ. They also keep us well posted when they do maintenance in the parking lot, repainting walls and cleaning and such. They also keep the grass, and parking lot well maintained. It can be a bit expensive, but honestly it's one of the safest but closest apartments to the school, that we've looked at. Walking distance, yet secure. Highly recommended! Plenty of parking + bike racks as well.
I really enjoyed living at the village at the timbers. I lived there for a year and had what I would call the best year in chico. The staff, maintenance, and people there are amazing. It's is kind of like its own little world. plus super close to campus takes me 3 mins to get to Yolo hall and 5-6min to get to holt oh im walking btw. but if ur thinking about living there DO IT you wont regret it promise:)
At first, I was wary about moving into an apartment with no washer/dryer in the unit, a swamp cooler in the living room and no a/c, and a kitchen so small no more than 2 people can stand in it at one time. However, my worries were quickly turned around. The cooler keeps the whole apartment at a good temperature, the washer/dryer room is open 24 hours a day and is only a minor inconvenience. Plus the complex is gated, and I feel very safe all the time. The complex is a little expensive, but well worth the money. It is very well maintained and looks clean and nice at all times. They allow pets under 20 pounds, and a monthy rent fee of $10 per pet.
ok apartments very close to campus. Can be very loud with tax credited apartments next door or throughtout the night people peeling out on nord ave. Otherwise nice place to live!
