Since I have moved in it has been a constant battle to get maintenance to properly service my apartment. I have had a leak in the ceiling in the restroom and they still haven't fixed it. The problem was orginally reported in November of 2014 and here it is March or 2015 and the ceiling is still leaking. Also there is constant partying. I hear my neighbor's music on a regular basis and the office has yet to do anything about it. People let their dog poop anywhere including the sidewalk, nasty. My experience here has been a terrible one and my move out day can't get here quick enough!!!
I've been a resident here for a year and a half. I would not recommend Aventine at Lindbergh to anyone. I just put in my 60 days and am breaking my lease because of how poorly this property is managed and maintained. Don't move here, you are better off in one of the many other apartment complexes around the area that care about their property and residents. My complaints to the management and office have been dismissed and I've been given many excuses about my concerns. Although management does like to leave a lot of letters on residents doors about policies that they don't ever enforce. Water and sewage costs are by building and end up being a bit high at between $50 - $80 a month. Parking is ridiculously under served and often I have to park 3 buildings away from my apartment. The property is undergoing major renovations but its very run-down for the price point of the units. I have been without A/C for two days and not much of an effort is being made to get it fixed, they dont even change out the filters on the a/c units (i know this because they left mine unlocked and my filter looks like its been there since i moved in over a year ago). The front gate is pretty much open all the time so I'm not really sure why it is even there. Security is non-existent as there is not even a courtesy officer for the property currently. There have been break-ins, cars stolen and a sexual assault since I've been a resident here. Someone else mentioned a lot of drug dealers and that wouldn't surprise me at all with some of the shady characters I've seen roaming the property at night. Aventine at Lindbergh is not an enjoyable place to live, it isn't the safest, it isn't the cheapest, honestly the only thing I like about it is the location and its relative closeness to the MARTA line.
Great location, decent rent... that's about it. Neighbors can be rude and sketchy. Don't let the photos on the website fool you - the place is badly in need of some landscaping, especially the inner courtyard which tends to flood and is a mosquito paradise. Pet-friendly, but the maintenance staff almost never replaced the dog poop bags or cleaned the waste bins. Also be on guard with your pets because some residents like to leave their dog off the leash. The gym has a few machines but I almost injured myself when the treadmill I was using stopped dead under my feet, so use at your own risk. Finally, my wife's car was stolen, and she's handicapped. Real classy. The parent company recently merged with another management company and changed the staff (around June '14) so let's hope they make an effort to clean it up. If they did, it would be phenomenal as the place is a short walk from MARTA and is in a good location overall.
Have not moved in yet & to be honest if it weren't for the location, We WOULD NOT move in!!! The leasing agents are morons, complete morons, and I hate to put it that way, but thats the only word that comes to mind when thinking of them. Remember unless you already have renters insurance, that you are required to have it. My point is they'll get you to sign a lease, now you're in a contract, and then they'll throw an extra $17.50 for renters insurance on top of you. It's not charged from the complex, but it is something that is required and is an extra $17.50 a month out of your pocket, which you should have the right to know about!!! Now their online leasing, this is how I signed my lease online, I read every document. The document regarding my pet said $0 pet deposit, there was also a document that said $0 apartment deposit, I agreed and signed to both of these documents online. I called my agent Kiana to get my pro-rated fee for the month of Aug. since we're moving in August 21 and she comes out with $1,245.00...My jaw hit the floor!!! Now I know and am aware that complexes charge pet deposits, but if Im held within a contract and I cant break a contract, how can you go in there after I've signed my contract and add in a $385 pet deposit?? and then add in a $99 apartment deposit that wasn't there before?? Did they just alter my contract after I've signed it?? Kiana asked me did you put your pet information on the application, when you applied? I told her "Yes, when I went online to sign the online lease, you have my dogs name, color, breed, weight, etc and the lease said $0 pet deposit" I signed it online, but now they can go back and change it?? I understand certain fee's, pro-rated rent, water set-up, etc they are pretty legit fees. But $50 for a gate key? Shouldn't that already be included? Im paying $1,300 a month for rent but I cant get a gate key to get in and out of the complex?? My point in writing this review is we can sign our lease online, and be legally held to that lease. But after we sign that lease, the complex can go back and change agreements, to which we've already signed. Be very careful with this complex, there is shady business already!!! Im scared to see what we will go through the next 10 months, that we're at this complex.
Good location. Well maintained. A little far from Metra station. Close to BestBuy and Target. Accessible to 400 N. The floor plan is good. Very well suited if you are family / if you go to GSU.
