This place has went down hill since spring of 2014. No one that works here currently actually cares for the property or the residents. All of the employees are stale and rude. Grounds, trash cans, pool, and trash compacter are BIG NEGATIVE curb appeal! The grass and mulch smell like a moldy pork farm! The car wash area vacuum is always clogged! And the commodes are always backing up flooding the floors (it even came through the dishwasher a few times)
Surprising to receive this invitation to speak as I have previously written complaints that have been mostly ignored. One is that there is no bench for walkers to rest. One is that no Christmas tree is placed in the office during the holiday although they are seen in many other Virginia businesses.. One is that no adult get - togethers are allowed serving wine or other drinks to enable neighbors to meet and get to know each other. One is that our very capable maintenance gal was fired in a despicable manner. We've endured the inconvenience of a faulty air conditioner, a faulty dryer and a faulty stove which have all required replacement. The steps to our second-floor apartment and that area seem to never receive sweeping/cleaning. Our most frustrating and costly problem is one of torn bath and hand towels and wash cloths. There were at least a dozen ruined large and fairly new bath towels before we finally got a new dryer. One load of torn towels was sent to the office at the request of Sandy/Kelly, now reduced to rags for cleaning use. We still have another load of torn towels and, since no replacements have been offered, feel Small Claims Court may be our only resort. Thank you for the opportunity to express our thoughts. It is your decision if our review is published, not ours.
It is below freezing, and our heat has not been turned on. Further, no one in the office cares. Since I have moved here three years ago, the grounds have become awful--mowing is something of an event when it actually happens. Most people do not pick up after their dogs, and the pool is vile. More people with seemingly mental illnesses are moving in. One neighbor yells, slams his door, and talks to himself. I feel unsafe here. It is not worth the rent that is asked, and there is no discount for loyalty or staying on; in fact, rent simply increases regardless. I will be moving once my lease is up.
I have lived in Malvern Lakes for just over 7 years--it is a great place to live. The apartments are spacious, neighbors are friendly, and the staff is great. The grounds are well tended to as is the pool and other recreational aspects of the community. The complex is off the beaten path, so it is very peaceful--but you still have conveniences just around the corner. I plan on staying here for several more years--I have found "Home".
