Been living here for almost a year decent sized apartment but the problem I'm having is that the apartment workers are leaving nails all over the place. These have punctured one of my tires. Very irresponsible on their behalf would rate higher if it wasn't for that or the reserved parking which is annoying to have to park further all because someone else is paying for a spot and.you are not.
The maintenance is terrible, you report an issue with the office they will call you days later supposedly to repair the problems but they don't fix anything, they don't leave any notes saying why they don't. That's why people move out....duh.
They have improved 10 fold since the new management / owner took over.. there is now adequate lighting at night to deter thugs. They now how overnight security (who btw sleep on the job fyi..management) I think they are heading in the right direction but the sudden increase in the monthly rent is uncalled for.. I don't think its appropriate now to increase so much especially since the place still has allot of abysmal issues. The INTERNAL water outages are always frequent even to this day.. they are always improving etc etc. One of the previous staff members tried to always put the blame on City of Houston, however I know that was not the case as it was always internal plumbing/maintenance issues. They tried fixing the flooding issue within the parking structure, still not resolved, its embarrassing. Also they just laid out speed bumps that are WAY TOO high and everytime my car passes through them, it hits the bottom portion of my car!! Never in my life have I ever had so many nails in my car's tires until I moved to this complex. Every month I kid you it seems that I find a new nail on one of my tires.. I have seen the previous maintenance guys throwing trash and dropping debry everywhere and im sure the same is still going on. My neighbors are ghetto. No other way to put it. Ghetto loud and love hanging out on the stairs as if it where the projects. All That said, this place has improved ten fold and is definitely heading in the right direction. I have however chosen to take my business elsewhere as im not too keen to commit another year of continued slow progress. I cant deal with the price hike.. it doesn't compensate for the terrible things ive been put through. (also let me add, when I moved into my apt, my kitchen dishwasher was not working.. guess what...a year later, no one has showed up to fix it.. even after multiple attempts to get this rectified. To be honest the new management isn't aware as Ive stoped caring) Oh (and again omg another drama) my complex had the entire roof replacd while I was living there and after that the roof leaked.. Before it would never leak but after the supposed leaks, my ceiling leaked and it ruined my HD TV SET.. It was an older tv set and had recently updated to a new tv set so never made a claim..be careful and if you have a leak.. make sure you cover your electronics with plastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They went out there 2 times to replace the roofing! twice!!!!!!!!!!!! Sure my review for the most part is negative but id give them a moderate rating because of the price.. you cant go and pay small dollars and expect to be treated like a god or goddess with luxury. For the price point it was adequate and reasonable. As of the date of my review, im givng the new staff a 5/5.. the old staff was the pits.. the most rude ghetto people ever!
the worse apt complex, rent hike is insane, they never make repairs until you call the city on them, they shut the water off whenever they like, there is no entry access for visitors either than standing there by the gate to use the card to let them in; the one way in and one way out is a real pain in the a**
My husband and I moved our family here from New York City. All we can say is living in Houston, TX. is SO SO SO dang cheap its NUTS! Rent is so damn low! We first came into the leasing office asked if they had anything under $1500 a month. They about fell out theirs desks! Haha! Anyways; The community is very quiet compared what were use to. People respect your space and no issues. We keep to ourselves anyways. My husband takes our son for walks every day throughout the neighborhood, there's market come by and mall within walking distance. Never had any problems. Access to WestPark Toll and Highway 59 right off Fondren. In all honesty we love the community accessible to everything if needed in a matter of minutes by vehicle. We have to get use to driving everywhere also; They have gated community with access cards available cheap at $25 a piece. NYC you pay $150-$300 for those back home. Cheap again..... The mgmt team pretty nice and respectful. It appears their under new mgmt and noticed a lot of changes to the community. The last mgmt owners ran this place into the ground as you can tell. The apartments are out dated and old. We've had to contact mgmt to place several work orders. We're planning on upgrading to larger place when our lease is up. We currently don't have any complaints really; everything is very reasonable and cheap. With an safe gated community we searched over 30 places Southwest Houston and everything place was over $500 with horrible living arrangements or you could over pay for a place at $1500. We choose this place b/c it was in the price we wanted to pay for rent and pricing was well worth calling this home. If you're looking for a upcoming place and cheap rent, decent community close to daily needs this might be a place to look into.
