This is a horrible place to live. always one or the other issues from bugs to air conditioning. So beware before rent this property. They are awful in the management and not worth at all to what you pay for it. The community is so big, making them difficulties to manage it. If you complain about some issues it will take several weeks to fix it.
So far, I've lived in these apartments for a year and I'm planning on staying here for at least another two years (the rest of my college experience). For the price, these apartments are very nice. I live in a three bedroom with two other roommates, and both of them love this complex as well. The location is great - merely a five minute drive to UNO and a lot of businesses. WARNING: Because it is so close to a college campus, there are a LOT of students who live here. If you're looking for a family environment, you might want to keep that in mind. Anyway, the interior is super nice. They replaced all the carpet and repainted everything for us before we moved in, so it has that new house smell. :) The ceilings are tall and it's a very open feeling with a lot of big windows. Whenever something needs fixed (toilet's not flushing... garbage disposal broke... etc.) we had a repair man in here in a matter of hours. Outside, it's beautiful. The grass, flowers, and big trees are a great touch. I love how these apartments are back and away to give it a secluded feeling, right in the heart of Omaha. Some people complain about parking, but it's really not too bad at all. There's extra parking behind the buildings I've only had to use a few times, and it's not to far of a walk. Overall, I LOVE this complex and thought I should put a good word in. MOVE HERE! :)
I moved into pacific gardens because it was cheap but it is worst apartment I ever lived in. We had problems with bed bug infestation. This apartment has several health code and safety violations. No fire alarm, paint is old (may be poisonous), leaky A/C machine, electricity outlets are dangerously close to floor (incase you have infants or toddlers), heating was inadequate (I was trembling everyday in winters), parking was a mess and most of all infested with BED BUGS. Finally, when we vacated a big receipt was sent, ~$900. OVERALL TERRIBLE.
I lived here for 3 1/2 years- never had any problems. The manager was always nice to us and was really cool (it was our first apartment). It was nice that the heat and ac didn't cost any extra. I would recommend this place to any of my friends!
