I'm a current resident of Brentwood Station and have been for a little over a year (I am about a month into my second lease). Upon moving in, last year, I IMMEDIATELY regretted the decision, as I realized the grounds (including the actual unit) were in very shabby conditions and the management was entirely unwilling to fix ANYTHING. I had a horrible experience with the management being difficult, refusing to address obvious issues (such as my leaking roof and inoperable stove) and the property manager, Brigitte, being outright degrading towards me. I was utterly appalled at the overall condition of the grounds and lack of professionalism in the management; I was in complete shock that the company managed to stay in business. I was counting down the days to the end of my lease right from the start. A few months before the end, though, a new company bought the property and brought in all new employees and immediately began renovations and has been exceptionally helpful and prompt in fixing problems in the unit or addressing issues. The new management and employees are all very pleasant and professional, the grounds are kept tidy and maintained, the pool tiles have been fixed where they were previously falling out, maintenance issues are addressed promptly and, most importantly, are ACTUALLY BEING ACKNOWLEDGED instead of being denied to be a problem, like the previous property manager did. Every unit that is emptied upon a move out I see being completely renovated, so I know everything is being updated like it so desperately needed to be! I am SO impressed with the turn around the apartments have made in the few short months since the change in ownership/management. Where I previously thought I would be leaving a review warning that I wouldn't wish this place on my worst enemy, I am now happy to say I have signed a new lease for another year and am enjoying the improvements and looking forward to the many more to come.

DON"T MOVE HERE!!!!! If I could, I wouldn't give this crap hole any star at all. This place is falling apart at the seems. Recently there is a change in management, but after about 4 times requesting someone come look at the growing mold problem in my unit, and an ice storm, they finally listened. Now they have some disaster team coming here expecting us to pay for the power to run these big ass dehumidifiers. They won't put up for a hotel if they rip our unit apart, which they will have to since our roof upstairs is falling apart. When you move in, you get dirty cabinets, a crappy stove/oven- don't even try to cook on it! It sets off the fire alarm every time. The maintenance man doesn't know his job and what freaking mold looks like, and it took 3 visits for him to tell me that my water pressure in my shower head was not working and there was nothing he could do about it. The leasing office closes every day at weird times and does not give notices like they are required to do 24 hours before work is being done on the property. The pool- oh god, don't even get me started. They don't drain the pool after winter. This past summer, there were spiders, dirt and poop in the pool! I will not let my stepchildren swim in that! They always are 'doing work' on it and don't notify when the pool will be closed...this was before I found out how nasty it was in there. The bathrooms there are disgusting and crawling with bugs and spiders, and no toilet paper. The blinds in my bedroom were not put up right and when we went to open them, they fell off! I am for real when I say this place doesn't give a damn about their tenants.

We've been in one of the townhomes for about 3 months now. No problems so far. No issues with staff, we haven't really had a reason to interact with management since we've moved in. Considering rising apartment prices in Nashville, this place is pretty fair rent wise and Nipper's Corner is the perfect balance of being safe enough and cheap. I've had a few minor things break (blinds and door knob) but they were both easy fixes. Did it myself. I love it so far and I'll update once I've been here longer.

I have nothing good to say about this place. I have lived here 7 months and have been dealing with an ongoing issue. There is a leak underneath the building I live in and it has been seeping out slimy, black mold, breeding mosquitos, and smelling like a sewer. There is constantly a puddle of water that is huge and cannot be walked around. I have to walk through it, dirty up my shoes, dirty up my car, dirty up my carpet in the apartment and carry my dog so he doesn't have to walk through it. I found out that this has been an issue for at least a year now. Multiple complaints and was never fixed. Heard excuse after excuse.. we can't locate the leak or we can't get someone to come out here because the summer has been busy. FINALLY, they had a contractor come out and insert a DRAIN to supposedly fix the issue. This does not FIX the issue. In order to fix the issue, they need to locate the source of the leak which is clearly underneath the building. I was told by management they have had several companies out that cannot locate the leak so therefore she blamed it on water running off the top of the hill. This is a joke and they are crazy if they think I believe this. Yes, the water is now off the sidewalk. However, the water goes into a drain which in my opinion will just sit and become stagnant and continue to smell and breed mosquitos. I asked about this and was told that the sludge it collects runs out to another location away from the building. But when I asked where the location was, I was told that she didnt know and what did it really matter. It matters A LOT when we have mold growing under a building for who knows how long and eventually the building will fall to the ground. I asked if they could compensate me by allowing me out of my lease 3 months early and I was told NO. I either have to turn in my 60 day notice, pay a fee equal to one month's rent or just deal with it. Since I have to deal with, they will have to deal with it as well. There will be a phone call placed to the people who own this property regarding their blatant negligence as well as a formal complaint filed to the City of Nashville. So instead of playing nice and fixing it the correct way, they will be forced to fix it and most likelybe fined. On top of that the neighbors across the hall are dealing with roaches the size of small puppies in mass quantities. They have even sent video to the apartment manager. They sent out a pesticide company that were not able to get rid of the roaches. So if you want to live in a roach infested apartment on top of black mold getting ready to crumble to the ground any day, come live here. Oh and on top of that, deal with the rude manager with a major attitude problem.

When I read the reviews I saw most of them gave the lowest rate, poor-fair and I'm not surprised. I lived there for 2 years and half. One of the reviewers has written "On the other end, the apartment complex is a hassle to deal with, stubborn, and the ownership is greedy capitalizing on the poor market for housing", and this is SO TRUE! If you are moving to Brentwood station forget about flexibility and negotiation! there is no place, never, for negotiation. If they give you a bonus at the beginning there is a reason for that. The reason is that they give you apartment in trash! unclean carpets, dirty cabinets,.. and the point is that when you are leaving they charge you for those carpets that they gave it to you! .the price is lower compared to other places, but there is reason for that! But on the other hand, the location is great. that's the only positive thing about brentwood station and that was our reason to stay there for 2.5 years, but still we did not know that much about other places, else we would not move to this complex at the first place. They charge you for any occasion they can find, this is horrible! I do not recommend this place at all. I would rather paying more and living in a nicer complex.
